Catchlight Painting is an excellent company - we hired them for exterior painting of our home in Newton in fall of 2023, and the painters and carpenters did an outstanding job. All staff were professional, easy to work with, and excellent with communication and attention to detail. Painters and carpenters were highly experienced and meticulous and did a great job cleaning up after each day. We are very pleased with the final result and would hire this company again.

We hired Catchlight Painting to paint the exterior of our craftsman home five years ago upon the recommendation of an architect who was familiar with them. I have used Catchlight Painting multiple times since February 2008. Previously, I had used a variety of different painters, all of whom had been satisfactory or good. However, I never really understood painting excellence until I had the good fortune of meeting the Catchlight team. The are all extremely knowledgeable about paints and what works where and about colors. Their work is exceptionally high quality and they have repaired previous paint failures caused by others in my home. The care they take in the preparation is like nothing I have ever seen, which is part of what makes the end product so spectacular and last so long. In addition, the are delightful to have around the house - pleasant, smiling, cheerful, just nice, kind people. And, they clean up so well every day that one doesn't even know they've been here. Nigel, the owner, also keeps employees long term - a sign of a good person to work for, a good manager, and company stability. If that isn't enough, when they notice other problems at my house, they are kind enough to point them out to me, so I can keep my home in shape. The approximate project costs I have given below are cumulative. Projects come in on time and within budget.

We love working with Nigel and the Catchlight crew. Nigel is very prompt and flexible at meeting us at different client's to provide quotes and let us know exactly the areas that need specific attention. His estimates are very descriptive and price quotes always come in at a fair price. The team that he has working for him is very professional and always keeps the job very clean, which is so helpful because we work with a lot of families. They are also very good at getting in and out, getting the job done in a timely matter. We really enjoy working with Catchlight, they are our first call when we have new projects that involve painting.
