Ed Okenica, the project manager and his crew did an excellent job painting the exterior of our home as well as our interior two-story foyer area. They were very responsive and polite, took care to protect our property during the project. Our home now looks brand new. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a painting contractor.

Earthly Matters just completed the painting of our home's exterior. What an outstanding job and crew. The painting is A+ in workmanship and the crew's were hard working, diligent in their work ethics and a pleasure to have working around our home. I highly recommend them for all painting needs, both interior and exterior.

Steve gave us a quote that came in much higher than all other contractors, but explained they ensure the job is done right, and done right the first time. We we were moving with a 6 month old and on a tight timeline from an hour away, so his reassurance to us of peace of mind was the deciding factor to spending 40% more. This was an expensive mistake. Steve and his team not only more than tripled the timeline (delaying our move by almost a week and inconveniencing us after we were moved in), but provided shoddy work at best. We had to constantly reach out to Steve for updates - when they would be back, what time they were coming, when they would be done, etc etc. His team left trash and debris throughout our home, and over 20 bags of trash on our lawn. When the job was FINALLY done, we expressed our dissatisfaction, he said that the delay was our fault because we "added extras" - asking them to install about 20 feet of molding to our kitchen cabinets and paint behind a 30" bath vanity, and blamed the imperfections throughout the house on our movers. (We've got photographs of these issues from before the movers!) When it came down to payment, we calculated all the delays, inconvenience, expenses for rent to extend our move date, cost to repair the scratch to our brand new floors, and explained to Steve we didn't feel we should owe the originally quoted amount that had come with (what turned out to be) a false guarantee. Instead, an inflated price and timeline that we could have hired someone to do for 1/3 of the price!!! He agreed verbally to this amount (which was 10-15% off) and accepted our check for payment, which was cashed immediately. 2 weeks later, he emailed saying we owe the full amount or else a lien would be placed on our house! We agreed to pay no more than half - because we just wanted him to go away and get settled into our new home, enjoy the holidays, etc without a battle over such a terrible experience. He accepted, we paid, and now every day we look around at the crap job they did and kick ourselves in the derrière for thinking Earthly Matters was a good choice. I was going to try to avoid leaving a negative review, but tonight I decided to be ambitious and start trying to remove all the paint splatters on what were our brand new wood floors before Earthly Matters happened. They won't come up. Our entire living area constantly looks dirty because of all the white specks on the floor. The floors were scheduled to be installed AFTER Earthly Matters was done to avoid issues but because they blew the timeline, they crossed paths and now we're stuck with the mess forever. Do not recommend!!!!!!!!

In order to be fair and unemotional about the situation, I decided to wait 3 months to write this review. I hired Earthly Matters to paint the interior of my home because I had used them several years ago and was very pleased with their work. I don't know what's happened over the years, but I'm sadly disappointed with the level of service I received this time. Please know upfront - the workers were impeccable. They were meticulous, polite and did a wonderful job painting my home, so I have no concerns there. My issue is with the project manager and the owner of Earthly Matters. For starters, I could not get a firm commitment on a start date for my project from Patti Fuller - the project manager. She would tell me that it depended on the weather, and what her crews were working on... even though this was an interior job that had nothing to do with 'weather'. When I finally asked her (with sincerity) if my project wasn't large enough or important enough to commit to a date, she scheduled a firm time with me. I was told that the project would take two days, and that an additional crew would arrive on day 2 to help complete the job. I confirmed all details of the job via email with Patti. After the 1st day, not even half of the painting was complete. Patti informed me that the workers would arrive 30 minutes late the next day because of an issue on another project. I was okay with that. When the workers didn't show up after 1.5 hours, I called Patti. She didn't know what was going on. She called me back 10 minutes later to tell me that the workers were on their way. Another hour went by, and I called her back again because they still didn't show. She checked again and told me that the workers were stopping to pick up some lunch and that they would be at my house in 15 minutes. When the workers showed up, they rang my doorbell and told me they were going to eat lunch in their truck and then get started. That was another hour. I called Patti back to confirm that a second crew would be coming out to help these guys out and get the job finished. She didn't know. She had to call me back again. 20 minutes later, Patti calls me to tell me that the additional crew would not be showing up. No explanation why, no apologies or professional courtesy. Just that they wouldn't be there, and that the job would not get done that day. By now, I'm trying to keep my patience and professionalism about me and I can't understand why the Project Manager had no idea of the availability of her crews, and where they were at any given time. If I hadn't contacted Patti 3 times and inquired about these issues, she would not have even known - nor did she bother to check in with me on her own. I expressed my disappointment with Patti and she said nothing. She didn't apologize, she didn't offer any restitution... nothing, I am a reasonable person and would not take advantage of anyone. This was not a very large project... a total of 5 rooms of a 1900 square foot home. The project did not get finished - even on day 3. I had them complete what they started, and not move to the additional areas I hired them to paint, so instead of 5 rooms painted, they did 3... in 3 days. When I searched on Earthly Matters website for an owner, or manager in charge I couldn't find any contact info there. I was hoping to have a logical, informational conversation with someone who might care - but there was no way to reach them through the site. I did a search on LinkedIn and found Mike Oettinger identified as the Owner of Earthly Matters. I wrote Mike via InMail, hoping for a response. That was on July 2nd and today is September 22nd. No word from Mike. So my final analysis is - Earthly Matters is just a poor facilitator of some great independent workers. You don't need Earthly Matters. Just hire the workers. I did, and I will hire them again without Earthly Matters.

Earthly Matters completed a full exterior paint project for my house. From the color advice and scheduling to the project management and final touches, the experience was phenomenal. Very professional and trustworthy.

Earthly Matters did an excellent job painting the exterior of my house and staining my deck. They were on time, and the final price matched the estimate exactly. They completed all work in three days and left the job site immaculate each day when leaving. Patti Fuller was a superior project manager. I highly recommend Earthly Matters and plan to use them again when we are ready for interior painting.

Earthly Matters people listen to any concerns about the project, they are trustworthy, and pleasant! Great price and great work! I have completed three jobs with this company in the last year as we down-sized in Buckhead for two projects and painted a lake house. I can recommend them without any hesitation.

Professional. Reliable. High quality preparation. Completed on schedule.
I ve been working with them for years on a number of projects and I've never been disappointed. Robert is the best!
Price runs in the medium range, but it's worth it. I have used less expensive painters whose work ended up creating more problems than it solved.
Overall, excellent work, excellent value.
