Doug was able to fit our interior painting project - a three level townhouse that we had just bought - into his schedule this summer due to (fortunately) some inclement weather. The initial condition of the walls were in rough shape in some spots. Different shades and sheens of white were used throughout. Doug and his crew were able to transform this quickly into a beautiful home, including replacing baseboards, repairing water damage, etc. The finished product is beautiful and is now a home that we can be proud of. We had used Krause painting previously, and were very happy with the results. When we were looking for a painter after buying the house, he was at the top of our list. Doug is respectful, collaborative and professional - and very easy to work with on any painting project.

Hiring Doug at Krause Painting and Finishing was the best decision we have made for our home improvement needs thus far. We interviewed five different paint companies for our kitchen project; Doug, the owner of Krause Painting and Finishing, was by far the most attentive, knowledgeable, and communicative professional we considered. He took the time to quote us on the spot, speak with us specifically about our unique needs, and discuss minutia of the "hows" and "whys" of this project. The hinges for our cabinets are discontinued (80s oak cabinetry is no longer all-the-rage!), but needed replacing, and while other companies offered suggestions on places for us to look or a less desirable spray option, Doug went above and beyond to begin searching for our new hardware before we even accepted his offer on the job. I received two e-mails the same day that followed up with us about our paint job and about our hinges. In the end, he found new hinges that matched our discontinued hinges perfectly, and he installed them. The job began right on time and Doug brought his crew over to start early in the morning. They were professional, clean, and fast! Doug worked alongside his crew each day and stayed at our house until every detail was attended to, even the small details that only a professional would notice. He checked in with us each day and was flexible to our kitchen needs throughout the project because we have a 5 month old. The men on his crew are considerate and polite. The final product is amazing! The cabinets look completely refinished and they exceeded expectation. We are so pleased with the job and plan to hire Krause Painting and Finishing for our next project. You will not find a better company to work with for your home painting needs. Doug was on time to the appointment and very professional in appearance. He is very thorough during his inspection of the the job. His presentation is very informational and shows knowledge of his profession. He is able to offer solutions and options to the issues at hand. An enthusiasm and dedication to the customer and the job comes thru during the presentation you don't see in other contractors.
