“The original door to my Victorian-era home needed some serious love, after years of neglect and piles and piles of paint. The original glass window had been replaced with a very ugly piece of textured yellow glass, so I commissioned a good friend (who also happens to be a master stained glass artist who specializes in arts & crafts period restoration > theodoreellison.com) to create a custom piece and hired Charmed Painting to restore the door. Eddie and Amy responded very quickly to my initial inquiry and Eddie came out later the same week to look at the door and provide some initial thoughts. He provided a very thorough rundown of what he would do (two options no less), and was able to give me a quick hit on what it may cost. I was very pleased with the initial estimate, so I made the commitment. Over the course of the next week Eddie lovingly worked on my door, sending me progress pictures along the way. There was so much gunk and paint in the door, and as you can see from the photos, there is a lot of detail to the woodwork. Eddie got in there with dental tools and spent hours and hours cleaning it out. I am so pleased with the end result, and my experience working with Charmed Painting.”
