Unique Painting and Decorating

We were thrilled with Jacek’s handiwork! He’s extremely methodical, skilled, & experienced. He turned our peeling wood deck into a piece of artwork. If you are looking for high-quality, do not expect this to be a fast job.

I've had the pleasure of working with Jacek twice now, and I truly can't say enough good things about the experience. His attention to detail is second to none, and he's consistently responsive, punctual, and reliable. On top of that, he's an absolute pleasure to work with. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my cherished furniture pieces.

Jacek refinished a 20 seat table and I am thrilled with the quality of his work and the finished product. Not only does he do outstanding work, but he is such an interesting person. He set up shop in my dining room for the past 7 days and he was neat, organized and so respectful. I recommend him highly.

Perfection is what Jacek stands for and it was shown in his painting, timing and going beyond my expectation when he adjusted and cleaned my window screens, while painting the wood around the windows.

I am pleased to say that the service I received from Unique Painting and Decorating met all my expectations. The kind of work they have done in a day is quite commendable without compromising on the quality part. The best thing was that they never showed hurriness in finishing the work when it was getting quite late .. would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

Perfection from preparation through clean up and meticulous workmanship in between. I am extremely happy with the job done by this true professional!

My house needed to be completely repainted and woodwork on windows repaired and painted before I moved into the house. The house had been neglected for many years and the windows in particular were in terrible shape. Jacek and his team did a wonderful job on the house. The windows are like new, and the painting was done to very high standards. Where walls had been patched inappropriately in previous repairs, Jacek repaired the walls to prep before painting. He went above and beyond to make sure that the end result was perfect. I couldn't be more pleased, it made a huge difference to the house.

Restoration of old-growth timber from the 1830s. The once interior beams became exterior beams when a 1920's tool and dye factory was converted into live spaces for artists in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago. The four 25h by 30L beams are situated in the courtyard garden of my building. After years of not caring for the beams by the condo board, they fell into disrepair and not only needed restoring but also dry rot control which started to rot the inside. This is a very unusual job, to say the least. It took over 2 yrs to find the right candidate for the job. I found Jacek and the rest is history as they say. What Jacek brought to the table is an artisan approach and execution which is almost impossible to find these days in a throwaway culture. Jacek started treating the wood with oils and not just the typical clear coat that everyone said that is what I should do. The wood needed oil penetration to act as a treatment from years of Chicago winters and summers that started to dry as well as discolored the wood. He meticulously cared for, nurtured the beams, and fully restore them to the magnificent beams that adore a 4000 square foot garden courtyard. Jacek is a European artisan with no ego just expertise and a true love for what he does. Do not hesitate if you are able to work with Jacek on a project because the way he works is harder and harder to find.

Jacek is not just a painter, he's a highly talented craftsman. His attention to detail is incredible. He took care of my home and property as if it were his own. Ten years ago, he created a showcase home for me with highly customized, painted wall treatments. These wall treatments withstood the test of time and made my condo a one of a kind home. Now, as he repaints for an eventual resale, he has created a wonderful neutral palette for staging. His careful application of neutral wall and cabinet colors, are the perfect ending to my time in this home. He is meticulous and doesn't cut corners ... even for this resale project. Jacek has a deep work ethic which I have found highly unusual these days among contractors. I strongly recommend him and only wish I could take him with me to my next home.

All of my expectations were tremendously exceeded!!! The attention to detail was phenomenal as was his knowledge and expertise. My home has a lot of artwork and Jacek took great care in prepping before he started the project as not to to disrupt any of the art. Highly recommended!!!

Jacek is pretty much the best painter ever and you'd be crazy not to use him on your next project. He does high quality, complicated work, at a good price, and efficiently! What more could you want?
