Attention to detail through out the job provided a finished look that I didn't think was possible, 300% better than my expectations. While Vincent took longer and was more expensive than other bids, the quality of the results made it more than worth it. We had the exterior of our house painted by Vincent Powell Painting & Decorating last year. When we decided it was time to get the house painted, we had three painting contractors come by to bid on the job. Of the three, Vincent was the first to respond, very clear in his communication, happy to answer any questions we had and bid the work at a very reasonable price. Our house is in SF and sits on a very steep section of hill. Moreover, the south facing wall presented a lot of challenges and had only a narrow gap for someone to squeeze in and work. All of this was made more complex by the fact that it was very close to our neighbor's roof. Vincent devised an excellent solution to this issue and many others that revealed themselves over the course of the job. Things to note: Punctuality - the entire crew was always on time. every day Communication - I never waited very long for Vincent to get back to me about any questions I had before, during and after the job. If there was ever an occasion when Vincent wasn't going to be there, he made sure to let me know ahead of time. Cleanliness - The job site was swept and neat at the end of every day. NO soda bottles or cigarette butts. Not one. Consistency - same crew every day, with Vincent leading the job. No absentee contractor. I waited to review until we'd been through a winter with the new paint job, and I'm happy to say the house looks great. I've worked in various aspects of home renovation in the past and recognize quality work when I see it. Vincent and his crew were great to deal with and accommodated our concerns with the neighbor's house and our crazy dogs. We hired Vince and his team to paint our kitchen cupboards. Based on reviews on Houzz and our first contacts with Vince, we felt comfortable having him and his team at our house while we were traveling. Vince used our garage for his "spray room" and when we returned home, not only did we love how our kitchen looked, our garage was three times as clean as it was on Vince's arrival. He adjusted some wonky hinges on the cupboards, fixed a couple of sloppy former paint jobs around the cupboards, and his quote for this job was just over half of another painting contractor we found on Houzz. Vince gets our highest recommendation!

I recently hired Vincent to paint the exterior of our two three story 2 unit condo buildings and would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a high quality professional paint job at a fair price. He provided great advice at the beginning about what needed work and what did not and suggested color matches which worked really well. When he found dry rott and leak conditions, he communicated the issues promptly and provided workable inexpensive solutions. His team is friendly and skilled and they keep an exceptional tidy worksite during the work and the end of each day which is important for good neighbor relations. A great find. I would definitely hire him again.

I hired Vince to paint the interior of my home and I couldn't be happier with his work! I had hired a different painter who turned out to be a nightmare to work with and did not seem to know what they were doing. I had to look for someone else to come in to fix the mess and I am so glad I found Vince. He was incredibly professional, left my place tidy after each work day, and offered a ton of advice on color schemes. Would definitely recommend him to all my family and friends and will definitely be hiring him to paint my exterior.

In October of 2018, Vincent came to my rescue and repainted my house after I suffered a very sloppy and poorly done paint job (which was done only 4 months prior in June). I never thought the house could regain its looks. When Vincent came for the estimate, he asked me what I liked and didn’t like about the outside of my house (not knowing that the house had only recently been painted). He listened carefully to what I said, did the neglected prep and carpentry work, ensured the cut-ins were straight as arrows, consulted with me on the color choices and placement, and turned a sad mess into the showpiece of the neighborhood. I just cannot say enough good things about Vincent, you will not be sorry if you hire him for your next project.

My reasons for choosing Vincent were 1) he made himself available for questions 2) he was thorough and spent a lot of time providing details when giving an estimate 3) he personally worked on the job. My husband and I hired Vincent Powell and his team to repaint our previously dark wood stained kitchen cabinets. They did a fantastic job! Vincent and his employees were professional and extremely methodical in their process of prepping, sanding, priming, painting. We also came home to an impeccably clean job site every night. Vincent was very communicative and responsive if we had questions during the process. We are thrilled with the results and love the new and fresh look of our kitchen. I would not hesitate to recommend or rehire Vincent Powell and his team for any painting projects.

My house looked like it was falling apart. I was sighted by the city because of led based paint chipping and falling from the outside the walls of the house. I called Vincent and asked him to come out. He was prompt, very knowledgeable about his job, and did an awesome job on my house. I went from having the worst house on the block to having one of the nicest.

It is too bad there are not 10 Stars for a rating, because this company should get them. I've had my house painted several times. I was never totally satisfied with the outcome. I'd seen Vince's van in my neighborhood so I contacted him via his website. I was surprised how quickly he responded. He came by to take a look and discuss what I wanted. He was professional and knowledgeable. Had some ideas and advice about what should be done. On paint day Vincent and his crew showed up on time and immediately set to work. Every day, when they would get ready to leave, they cleaned up the area and did not leave a mess. He takes pride in his work. as well he should. He is very meticulous and detail oriented. As one of the reviewers said "He is a master of his craft . " There is not enough space to give him and his team all of the compliments they deserve. We have already discussed another project, for late Fall. Best of all, Vince is a great guy. So, if you want quality, someone with knowledge and expertise, you should call Vincent.

Vincent and his team have done several smaller jobs at my home over the years. This past year, we had the entire exterior and interior of my home repainted. I can't say enough about his professionalism and the high quality of his work. He always returns my calls, shows up right on time, and is careful about keeping the work site clean. In fact, my home is often cleaner after he paints than it was before! The quality of his work is absolutely superior; I really appreciate the attention to detail that his team shows. No fewer than 4 neighbors stopped by this past week to tell me how great my exterior paint job looked. I hope I don't need to repaint for a while now, but if I do, Vincent will be the first person I call.
