What a great company! Juan and his team at Zarazua have done a lot of work on my house, and every time they have done it to a high standard, sent punctual and professional crews who kew what they were doing and were very courteous, and come in at a fair and reasonable price point. Though their main business is painting, they have professionals either on the team or in their network who can take care of lots more than just applying paint, always to the same high standards. Zarazua has to be the top outfit in the Triangle for this type of work, and I will never hesitate to ask them to step in for future house work, they're a pleasure to work with!

Zarazua Painting did an excellent job on our garage and porch project. Gerardo called or texted everyday to address any questions or concerns regarding the work. Lazaro, the leader, replaced the deteriorated wood and the team prepped for painting. They were on time each day, worked steadily and finished the project sooner than expected including a rain day. Very Professional.

Zarazua Painting donated their services to paint one room in a community fund raising event last year. We were lucky enough to win!! We used Juan to paint an entire house in preparation for selling it. He advised us on popular colors and his team did an amazing job. We weren’t initially going to paint cabinets but after seeing them we knew it made the kitchen pop. We also used his advice and recommendations for replacement of countertops which really made the house look great and very updated. From start to finish we had a great experience and sold the house. He also did our sons house and it was a remarkable improvement and his crew came back until our kids ( who are really picky) were totally satisfied. They went above and beyond in so many ways. We will always use them when we need painters.

I don't even know where to start... These guys are amazing. From day 1 when Juan came in to give us an estimate on the entire work, to Mario, working with us making sure we are happy with every single details, to Trinidad, explaining us details of the work and helping us make right decisions as we go, to Wendy, helping us organize things - these guys are amazing! Our house is pretty big, and we bought it in a questionable condition. I was skeptic about one company fixing everything we wanted the way we wanted. Not only they double and triple checked their own work to make sure that there are no glitches anywhere on the walls or floor, but they actually repainted part of our bathroom when we realized that we didn't like the color that we picked - for free! They went back and forth to the house for weeks with us to make sure that we were happy with the way our deck looks, and answered all the questions we had about it. And my favorite story is that when the hose on the side of the house (i'm telling you, it is an older house) got accidentally unplugged, Juan had his plumber (another man who knows what he does!) come and fix it within 24 hours. I could tell more stories and bring more examples of how these guys are second to none, but I suggest you hire them and make your own experiences with them. I promise you, you won't regret that decision. We are definitely having them back!

When three separate parties highly recommended Zarazua Painting to us, we took notice. Juan gave a very fair price, painting the entire house, refinish the floors and brought in a crew to open a wall. The work performed was of supreme quality, beautifully finished and Juan was at the worksite multiple times each day to make sure that everything went well. We have had our two 19th century wooden houses painted many times. Never has a company done the prep work Juan's team did; they replaced rotted wood, refitted windows, repaired gutters and made no noise while doing it. They painted INSIDE storm windows on the sills. Juan did exactly as we asked and many things we didn't think to request. We were utterly overwhelmed with the exquisite finish of the home. We can give no more glowing a recommendation than we give to Zarazua Painting.

Juan and his team painted the exterior of my home, replaced a lot of the house with hardieplank and re-stained the deck. They worked very hard to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction and I am a hard customer to please! Highly recommend.

Zarazua Painting painted two houses for us. The prep work that was done on each was very thorough. The color scheme on each house remained the same, but the type and quality of paint Juan used added a richness and a luster to the colors that was not there before. Even though our main house was paints about one year ago, I still notice the rich color each time I pull into our carport. We were very happy with the work done, and we plan to hire Zarazua Painting to do more work for us.

We have used Zarazua Painting twice. Last summer we hired them to paint our exterior without a second bid. Crazy? No, since one of our friends had used them in multiple houses for years and said this was the best painting contractor around. We did not regret our decision. The bid seemed fair; the owner very professional. We've used painting contractors in various locations over the years and were amazed by the efficiency and professionalism of the crew. Everyone had a specific job and got right to work. From the power washing to the prep to the actual painting, all was done perfectly. When rain slowed the progress and threatened to go past the finish date, Juan threw on 2 extra crews over the weekend to finish on time. We have sung his praises since. Just recently he did some interior work. As before, the work done on time and perfectly. I would not hire another company after these two experiences.

ZARAZUA PAINTING did extensive exterior painting of my Cape Cod brick house; extensive complicated trim; and wood siding as well as interior of back screened porch. They did not paint the brick as it was not necessary yet. The whole crew was very competent, went above and beyond to do good sanding and caulking, and some fascia board replacement before they painted. They were very responsible in communicating timing of beginning the job and finishing the job in a timely manner. The painting job was excellent. I highly recommend them and received the recommendation from a very particular experienced friend in Durham.

I had Juan Zarazua and his crew paint the exterior of our home. They did an outstanding job. They also replaced some fascia boards and other trim pieces. I was very pleased with the quality of work and he stuck to his original quote despite the fact that I had quit a bit more rot than anticipated.

Zarazua Painting removed the old popcorn ceilings and repainted the interior of our home. It was a big job. They moved the big furniture, covered them up well, and worked around the furniture, which was very helpful. They replaced all the kitchen cabinet hardware, exchanged many light fixtures, hung mirrors and towel racks, replaced air vents, and exchanged all the interior and most of the exterior door handles. Juan gave valuable input on colors. They even completed the work of a granite vendor who was not as thorough as Zarazua Painting is in their work. When there was work his crew could not do, Juan was able to recommend other vendors (electrician) who was extremely helpful and good. Painting the inside of a home can be stressful when you are living there at the same time. Juan came by daily to see progress and check in with us. The paint and ceilings look like a new home now. An 1806 house with layers of paint is no easy task. Zarazua workers were thoroughly professional and accomplished a fantastic result. Extensive hazmat work was necessary, followed by scraping off paint down to the boards. The workers were diligent, even appearing on weekends when rain slowed them during the week. Zarazua Painting was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff was very organized, prompt, polite and professional. Juan, the owner, was outstanding in his professionalism. We had interior painting done in our home in 2-3 rooms, along with a master closet. shoe mold trim applied where tile was in bathrooms to give us a finished look we did not have before. Furniture was moved and returned to original areas by painting staff, walls or ceilings covered with plastic where needed. Complete clean up in all rooms too! Phone calls were always returned promptly. We had an excellent experience, and I have recommended Zarazua to many friends, and will use them again for sure!

I have hired Zarazua Painting on 3 separate occasions during the past five or six years. The most recent was in December 2014 in which they painted 4 different rooms in my new house. They do a fantastic job of painting. They are professional, reliable, eager to please, and clean up after themselves. I highly recommend them!

Juan and his guys are the best! They did some excellent work for me and completed a difficult task within a day. This was very helpful in my situation and minimized the disruption that renovations can cause when jobs drag on for days. Efficient, respectful, with attention to detail and excellent clean up after the job. Juan himself is the most affable guy you'll ever meet. Always on time for appointments in my case and funny and engaging to talk to. The only problem with Zarazua is that Juan and his crews are so in demand, it's difficult to get them on short notice. I would use them all the time but they're often booked for months out. Guess that attests to the great work they're doing for their clients. If you can get them, go for it.

Juan Zarazua and his team painted the inside of my three-story house, including all walls, ceilings, closets, and trim. They also replaced the hardware on all doors and closets, wall plates, and recessed light fixtures. The project lasted three weeks. The painters worked diligently eight-nine hours every day, with a short lunch break mid-day. Team members were professional, respectful, and quiet (no loud music). They moved boxes and furniture; covered rugs and furniture, and cleaned up at the end of each day. What I valued most about Juan and his team was their responsiveness to my various requests (e.g., changing my mind about paint colors in two room and providing extra services). The quality of their work is outstanding and I am enjoying my newly painted house very much.

We hired Zarazua Painting to paint the exterior of our 1924 historic home in Watts-Hillandale neighborhood. We were impressed by the other homes they had painted in the area, which showed their expertise in painting historic homes. During the project they were very professional and cleaned up the site after each work day. The entire job lasted about 2 weeks due to some inclement weather delays, but when they had nice weather the work went fast. Juan Zarazua, the owner, was easy to work with and very attentive to the details. At the end of the project, we did a walk to be sure all of our concerns were addressed. They even took it upon themselves to paint some of the brick where a very slight spray had overshot, though it was not obvious to me. It is clear the Juan loves what he does as he takes great pride in his work and his employees. The reason I gave them four instead of five stars was that the windows were practically painted shut and they had to return two separate times get them to open smoothly. They were more than happy to fix the windows and were very clean and tidy while in the house. As a bonus they painted some areas on the inside of the windows. Overall our experience was very good and we think the house looks great! We would hire them again and recommend them for any residential paint jobs.

Every aspect of this work was done to perfection from preparation of surfaces, pressure washing the exterior, quality of paint and sealant, selection of colors, skilled painting of walls, doors, moldings, and ceilings, plus "spot-on" estimates for time and cost of the work.
