“I entrusted Megan Grehl to transform my new NYC apartment into a beautiful, comfortable place to live. I desired a design that would reflect my personality and style - clean, contemporary, feminine, and soft. I really liked the mood boards since they helped me to imagine what my space could look like. Megan was receptive to my feedback and also addressed my specific needs, such as selecting custom black out blinds to provide almost complete darkness to improve my sleep. Megan did an excellent job designing my apartment with a neutral color scheme with just the right amount of feminine colors, accents and textures. I especially like the lighting she chose for the space. She really thought about how to make sure that the apartment was balanced and felt like a home, not a startup office. She also helped me decide in which pieces to invest and how I could save money in other areas. My apartment has become a place where I really enjoy spending time and relaxing. I was not an easy person to work with, so I appreciated the flexibility and patience that Megan and her team had when working with me. They were always available to be on site to help with the contractors. Megan was also available for video calls to go over ideas. It was my first time working with a professional designer for my home, and I am very pleased with the results of the project and working with Megan and her team.”

When I worked on projects with her she was able to clearly communicate her vision and provided color pallette, inspiration, time lines and budget so that every last detail could be executed perfectly. A lot of time and money can be wasted if this is not done. I can't emphasize enough the value of hiring a qualified designer like Karla who has the ability to execute her designs seemingly effortlessly. “Malka is everything you can wish for in an interior decorator: attentive, responsible, responsive, impeccable taste, fair. In other words, the consummate professional. I chose Malka after having interviewed several Westchester and Connecticut based interior decorators. By far, Malka stood out. Not only was her rate structure the most transparent and favorable to the customer, but she struck me as someone who would be easy to work with, especially given my unique circumstances. I had already done a ton of research on furnishings, down to the fabrics, and had a very specific vision of what I wanted. Malka was more than happy to bring my vision to life and to complement the pieces I had chosen with her own suggestions. Together, we decorated the living and dining rooms, entryway, and did all the window treatments in my new home. The final product is magnificent. While I had very concrete ideas of what I wanted, I have no doubt that had I given Malka free reign to decorate my home as she saw fit, the end result would have been equally beautiful. Malka also always looked out for me, trying to find cost-saving opportunities. I doubt the other candidates I had interviewed would have done the same. In sum, if you want your home decorated beautifully and work with a professional who will work with whatever your budget is and has a fantastic attitude about it, I recommend you hire Malka.”

“In July 2011 we signed a lease for an entire floor space in the Flatiron District to create a photo studio with adjacent offices for 10 employees. The mission was to create a creative space that showed style and was fit for a high-end clientele. We had a very tight schedule as we had to occupy the space within 2 months. We were very fortunate to team up with Yaiza Blank, who worked around the clock to dream up and draw the plans. At her suggestion we worked in 2 phases, since the finishing work that had more lead time had to be installed a few months later. Yaiza came on as the architect and project manager and then collaborated with an interior designer for furniture selection. I cannot say enough good things about her, as she is creative, diligent and kept the project on track. She went above and beyond when we researched several vendors for custom made doors/windows and kept the costs within our budget. She visited the metal shop many times to keep the work on track. I also liked working with her contractors who were respectful and did very precise and clean work. In summary, I cannot recommend her enough as anyone who hires Yaiza will find a very dedicated architect who is creative, organized and full of resources.
