We will be here for you throughout the entire design/build process. Beyond custom cabinetry, we also help you select and procure tile and appliances, surface coverings, wood flooring, counter tops, lighting, shower design, plumbing fixtures, paint colors and much much more! I will truly care about you and the exquisite completion of your home. I have worked hard throughout years to buy at a better rate and keep our margins down so we can offer our clients an honest fair value. I will not try to be everything to everyone, I want to be something great to a few key clients each year! I will travel outside of Michigan for a travel fee. Any design in Michigan is the same price no matter the zip code. My work has been seen on Food Network, KBIS, GLTE and all over Michigan, Ontario and one outdoor kitchen in California so far! I have been the Co-owner of the "Lake Street Design Studio" since 2003, and in 2017 Decided to invest in our future to remain at the forefront of cutting edge Kitchen and Bath Design and have created the State-of-the-Art Custom Experience Center in downtown Petoskey. We have built a solid reputation on our ability to customize and build many of our pieces to customers' personal specifications. All products are designed and individually handcrafted in Petoskey, Michigan. Jim is a custom builder, finish carpenter/cabinet maker. Lisa is an artist and has designed homes, furniture and interior decor for over 25 years. Having a passion to work with our hands as well as solve home decor and storage needs using innovative and sustainable methods, we embarked on a journey that led to full time design and shop production of some of our favorite pieces. Wood has been a favorite of ours and we have enjoyed seeing what can be done using reclaimed wood. Finding it, seeing where it comes from and learning the history behind it, is part of the great experience. Everything we produce out of reclaimed wood is unique, with it's own individual personality. You never get the same piece of wood twice thus making our hand- crafted pieces truly " one-of-a-kind". In our spare time we can be found scouring antique shops, boat salvage yards, estate sales and connecting with people in the Great Lakes regions. We love finding old things and turning them into something useful for today's world.... Many of our customers pick up their handmade furniture and wine racks at our wood shop here in Petoskey, Michigan. Especially for our bigger farmhouse harvest tables, live edge counter tops, chairs and furniture, it can save a lot on your shipping cost if you're willing to enjoy a trip to our beautiful part of the woods to pick up your order! However if that's not an option, we drop ship via FedEx anywhere in the U.S. We've had great success this year in our shipping alone of over $60,000 in 2016, and have had everything arrive to its destination in tip top shape.
