Andy Ryan frst photographed Hudson and Harper throw pillows for our company Hudson and Harper Co. about a year ago, around the same time we launched our brand. We were looking for a photographer that not only had ample home design experience with product photography and a keen attention to detail but someone who understood our vision, our story and our core company values. After all, photography is storytelling and Andy really helped bring our vision to life. He was the consummate professional and so easy to work with. We never felt rushed and he was so patient in making sure each product and every room scene was perfeclty styled. Andy Ryan was the perfect choice for a showroom shoot for bulthaup Greenwich, a luxury kitchen and living spaces design and manufacturing company from Germany. Shooting the bulthaup showroom required meticulous planning. We needed to follow the sun around the free-standing building so we could use as much natural lighting as possible. He was not only technically knowledgeable about all things digital, but brought a fresh creative eye to the shoot, and was always flexible if any unknowns popped up. Working with the bulthaup product requires a real finesse and sensitivity to their unique colors, textures and surfaces. The final images needed to be spot on to tie into a brand that is as buttoned-up as they come. From pre-production walk-through, to the day of the shoot, to the post-production retouching and delivery of the final edited images, Andy nailed it! He was awesome to work with. Easy going, but super detail-oriented – a rare combination. Andy made the entire experience from estimating to invoicing seamless and streamlined.
