“My wife and I have used Brad at Custom Builders many times since 2016 when we purchased our home from them. We purchased our home while already under construction and had our first of many positive experiences with them finishing the construction to our tastes and design. Since 2016 we have had them do multiple big projects. A year after moving in, we had Brad and his team back to finish our basement where we added a full bath, office/bedroom with a built-in desk and walk in closet along with a large family room space aka man town. May 2022 was our most recent project, where we had them back both expand our deck and add a garage under the deck. We couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, all of our experiences were nothing short of exceptional. First and foremost, Brad and his team demonstrated unparalleled professionalism and expertise throughout the entire process. They took the time to understand my vision for the project and provided valuable insights and suggestions to enhance it further. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship were evident from day one. Communication was another standout aspect of my experience with Custom Builders Inc. They kept me informed every step of the way, ensuring that I was always aware of the progress being made and any potential changes or challenges that arose. This level of transparency and openness instilled a sense of trust and confidence in their abilities. When it came to the actual work, the team exceeded my expectations. The team worked diligently and efficiently to bring my vision to life, and the end result was nothing short of stunning. The quality of their workmanship is truly top-notch, and it's clear that they take great pride in what they do. Overall, I highly recommend Brad and the team at Custom Builders Inc. If you're looking for a fair, reliable, skilled, and customer-focused team to handle your home improvement projects, look no further.”

“Connecticut Heritage Homes built a home for my on my own lot. Connecticut Heritage Homes involved me in the full process of home construction from the initial design stage, to placing the house on the lot to picking out appliances and fixtures and paint. They have stood by their work and corrected any problems that have occurred even after the one year warranty period.”

“modular home. FEMA requirements proved a challenge with some of the house. the set area of the house was unattractive, so the G.C. and a site worker came up with an idea to enhance that area of the home. there was some wiring done incorrectly at the factory, all rectified by the site electrician. as a woman who was on the site daily doing my work on the house, the site workers were always respectful, polite and helpful. if i suggested something or told them something needed to be done, it wasn't an issue to hear it from me instead of the G.C. they all joke about my window with the list of things to be taken care of. everyone at this company has gone above and beyond to make our home perfect.”

“We hired this company to build our new home. My wife and I have had nothing but a positive experience right from the start. Our contractor has been extremely accommodating and enjoyable to work with. It's very nice to work with someone who is just as excited as we are about building our new home. His attention to detail on every aspect of the project is truly impressive. I highly recommend this company for all of your home construction or renovation needs, and we will most definitely use him again for any of our future projects.”
Gilmore Building Company, Inc.

“For our project, my wife and I wanted to build a house that "fit in" on a street full of charming 19th century New England style homes. Eric Gilmore, president of Gilmore Building Company, a custom home builder in central MA, worked with us and his architect associates to develop a concept that combined our custom floor plan goals with traditional architecture using the Greek Revival style prevalent on the street to build a "new old home". To complete the look, Eric custom designed many of the exterior and interior trim and molding patterns himself. The exterior design turned out to be so authentic that at one point later in the construction phase, an acquaintance that didn't know we were doing this house project remarked to me as we drove past the construction site, "Aw, isn't it nice that someone is restoring that beautiful old house?" ... but it was this new house: goal exceeded! This was our first custom home, so we were looking for a low risk, low stress process. One option available from Gilmore Building Company that matched our needs was to start with a fixed cost design phase that delivers a firm final construction price, detailed drawings, and full part specifications before digging begins. Once all the design goals were realized and the plans were drawn up, construction went smoothly. Weekly on-site meetings helped review progress and answer the "this or that" questions that inevitably come up during the build of a custom home. We are now moved in and enjoying all the hard work that Eric and his team put in to the painstakingly designed, quality built, energy efficient home that has all the features we asked for -- and it fits right into the neighborhood.”

“You can add us to what I know are several clients of DesignBuild Hamptons who were so impressed that we let our prior architect go (even though we were several months into planning with him). Our small (1100 s.f.) 19th c. cedar shake “fisherman’s shack” needed serious updating and rehab after our ancient roof sprang a leak and we were told that the fireplace that was our primary heat source had burned its last piece of wood. We wanted to bring the place closer to the 21st century, maybe even introduce central heat and air, but knew that our hopes of even a modest expansion would likely catch us up in regulatory red tape, with all the attendant consultants … and delay … and expense. We were well down that path, having hired two different consultants on top of our prior architect, when we were lucky enough to meet up with Tom and Annie. Shortly after our first meeting, Annie sketched out some design ideas that seemed both intriguing and re-assuring, conveying to us that she knew we wanted to preserve the feeling of the place, even while renovating. She modified and refined the plans over several informal and wide-ranging discussions, adding a master bedroom and bath; a completely re-designed, bright and airy kitchen; with higher ceilings, and more and larger windows both upstairs and down. For his part, Tom came up with solutions to the feared regulatory boondoggle that completely skirted that bureaucratic black hole and allowed us to send our growing team of consultants packing. With our prior architect, we’d spent months looking at plans, butting heads over design disputes, and encountering problems and complications at every turn. With Tom and Annie, we had our plans mostly figured out in six weeks. We first sat down with them in the Summer of 2010, broke ground on December 1st, and were in our completely transformed house the following August. Bill Milia’s building team (with Tom’s continuing involvement) delivered on Tom and Annie’s promises. We are absolutely delighted with the results. Not only did we repair our roof and replace our fireplace, but we added vertical space, trading a sweet, somewhat dark, cozy, but, by the end, non-functioning cottage into a bright, open, airy refuge – utterly transformed (including an en suite MBR, but somehow retaining its harmonious relationship with the landscape. Bill & Tom’s crew (and even the subs) were all great guys, totally enjoyable to have around. More importantly, of course, they did great work and got the job done. Tom and Bill’s billing practices are utterly transparent. Each monthly bill itemizes, and attaches, every invoice, so that you can see the costs, from boilers and windows literally down to screws and nails. Tom and Bill’s profit is a straight percentage, clearly calculated right there on the invoice. From Annie, Tom, and Bill, down to the last member of the crew to leave the project, everyone was committed to getting the job done, and done to our satisfaction. I don’t think you could find a more honest, committed, and responsible team if you searched far and wide.”
