Transparent Contracting has done several jobs for me and I will continue to utilize their services. What I like the most is that they really seem to care about the quality of their work and they are very personable and willing to do whatever the Homeowner needs. They have done 2 bathroom tear outs and remodels, French Doors and trim, stairway and landings tile work and are currently working on trimming out windows and doors.

Revive Remodeling did an outstanding job on remodeling our master bath. From the initial contact when Don came to our house to understand what we wanted in a bath remodel, they took our ideas and design concepts and made them a reality. Laurie kept us appraised of when a specific contract was coming so we always knew what to expect. I highly recommend them for any remodeling job. I've seen their work on other projects and the work quality is consistent, no matter the type of remodel. Total costs were in line with what we expected as well. We are very happy with the finished product. We now have a showcase, highly functional, and fun bathroom.

Our job was a complete remodel of our kitchen which included moving a wall and completely gutting the flooring in the kitchen, entry, laundry and second bathroom. We had a heated tile floor, custom designed cabinetry, recessed ceiling lights, appliances, windows and countertops installed. Nathalie Pillsbury listened to our "wants", made recommendations, met us for many product decisions, addressed our concerns and inevitable changes and was genuinely involved in our project. Mike Roloff hired excellent subcontractors, so that the finished product is outstanding. (Of particular note was the amazing "granite guy", Michael Ambrose, of De La Tierra Stoneworks). This company obtained the necessary permits and held to an agreed upon written timeline. All in all, a very satisfying, albeit disruptive as any remodeling/construction project is, experience. Kudos!

Designer Jane Regan knows quality and possesses great style. Her bath and kitchen designs are always modern, yet classic. What she designs, will look as fresh twenty years from now as they do today. Bob Regan is a true craftsman, and his skills are well-rounded. He specializes in decks as well as interiors. The Regans are a great team with many builds to their credit.

We hired Jeff Hand to provide general contracting services for our “major” kitchen remodel, our first project of this magnitude, and he did much more than that. He contributed fresh insights into our existing design plans that were able to turn a challenge into an asset for us. He offered several options in an effort towards “value engineering”, that is managing our costs through material or method choices. We believe this was Jeff’s first venture into working with DIY homeowners but his experience and professionalism helped to make this arrangement a success. He was able to help us organize and prioritize our efforts to contribute to the project while keeping it moving forward at good pace. His own subcontractors were top-shelf but he oversaw their work with the sharpest of scrutiny daily nevertheless. He was present throughout the project and was ready and able to do any of the mundane or requisite tasks that were needed to support the subs in performing their specialty duties. He never created problems or performed unnecessary work; we could trust that anything he said needed to be done was legitimate. His work was of exceptional quality, using high-grade materials and never cutting corners, the upside of which is pride, gratification, and peace of mind but, of course, is something that comes at a monetary cost. Ultimately, our project was completed within range of our initial time frame. Jeff was able to resolve every problem that we presented or encountered to our mutual satisfaction. If he is willing and available when we’re ready, we are planning to utilize Jeff’s services on the next phase of our remodel.

We feel so lucky that we hired Wisdom Inc. to do our remodel. We were living in California while the work was being done. They had remodeled my daughter's house and did such a beautiful job that I asked them to do ours before we arrived. Chris and his team were on time and on budget which was so wonderful. And they were very easy to work with from afar.. I would highly recommend calling them for your renovations. We love our new home!

JDL Development Inc. has worked on over 5 residential remodel projects on which I was the architect. Their most important goals are pleasing the client and following the architectural drawings and specifications to the letter. Their partners, project managers, craftspersons and office personal are all focused on making the project as successful as possible. Their integrity is is beyond reproach in all facets of the project from cost estimates to payment requests to project closeout. Problems arise on all projects no matter how much planning is done before the work. JDL has always immediately identified problems, worked out solutions with the architect and owner and fixed those problems to everyones satisfaction.

I am an architect and ReCraft was the general contractor for one of my client's projects this past year. The project was a whole house remodel that included a kitchen, two bathrooms, all new interior finishes, a rear stair/deck addition, construction of a new stair through two floors and a dormer addition. Working with Mike and his team was a fantastic experience. They were thorough, asked good questions when needed, on time and on budget. They kept the owner and myself up to date on progress during the entire project. The stair construction was particularly complicated; it involved squeezing in a new stair to connect three floors under a new dormer all while maintaining existing access to the various levels. Additionally, Mike's crew had to deal with Portland's relentless rainy winter and keep everything dry throughout. They pulled it off beautifully As an architect, I am VERY picky about the quality of construction of my projects. ReCraft exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend them and look forward to working with them again.

I almost missed the opportunity to work with Bigfoot Northwest. I had already verbally agreed to a bid to remodel and convert my garage but a little voice said to get another bid. Bigfoot NW responded right away and owner/partner Austin came out. He did a thorough walk through, listened to all my ideas and concerns and gave me a very honest straight forward answer. While what I wanted to do was possible, it was not gonna be easy or the most financially fruitful. He then purposed a totally radical idea that completely blew me outta the water. It meant at least a 3/4 cut in bid price for his company but it was the creative and beneficial idea for me financially. Tear down my existing dilapidated garage and get a tiny house instead for half of what it would cost me to rebuild. Friggin genius! Bigfoot would do the demo, and prepare the site, and help me with the hookup. He then gave me a list of tiny house builders with great prices and helped me plan out the set up. I had previously spoken to 4 other contractors up until that point with bids into six-figures, some didn’t even bother to actually take the time to come meet me or do a walk through. I said ADU and they threw me a price. Bigfoot not only took the time to partner with me on this project but Austin and his owner partner Adam, who did most of the demolition, invested their time and experience in helping me build my financial future. I feel very fortunate to know them, they’re top notch fellows and I can’t recommend them enough!!
