Professional Organizers Near Fairfax

Overwhelmed by clutter & chaos in various areas of my house, I hired Laurie Beth, the owner of Ace of Space DC to help. I was somewhat embarrassed by my disorganization but after 10 minutes of Laurie Beth being in my house she put me at ease and we went to work in my closets. She & her assistant were very efficient, creative, encouraging & nonjudgmental. They motivated me to finally get rid of & donate many unused clothes & shoes, etc. They took care of all the donations & before I knew it my closets (3) were organized to perfection. Before they left I was so pleased, I signed up for the 4 session plan. One other thing I like about Ace of Space is that their services are very versatile. Laurie Beth, the owner is professional yet personable and kind, easily accessible, punctual and sensitive to the individual needs of her clients.

Lavender is not only a great organizer she is also a great person. I first booked time with her when I wanted to return home from knee replacement surgery and realized I could not negotiate my house due to all the clutter of papers, unorganized areas, and stuff that had taken over most of the house. She listened to my dilemma sympathetically, then came up with a plan to tackle the areas that hindered me the most first: living room, kitchen and bedroom. It took several sessions, but each of those areas looked amazing once we got through. Only then did we start working on other parts of the house that needed attention. She fearlessly tackled the worse messes. In all of this I use the term WE--I know Lavender could have done a lot of this faster working alone, but I told her I needed to work on it with her and she fully incorporated me into the process. That way I had ownership of not only the mess and the process, but also the resulting achievement. She also gave me some good suggestions of how I could make things easier on myself for the long haul--in other words she is trying to make me so much better at handling paperwork, potential clutter, and reorganization that there may be a time when I will no longer need to have her come to help me fix messes! Perhaps then I can capitalize on her design skills. Thank you, Lavender!

My wife threatened me if I did not declutter and organize my manspace in our basement which includes an office area, closet and TV rec room. I didn't know where to start, nor did I have the time to tackle such an overwhelming project. My wife wouldn't help me either, but my wife didn't say I couldn't hire someone to help - so I did. I found Christina and Organizational Aesthetics (OA) through a friend that highly recommended her services. She came over and we talked about what I needed. She walked me through her ideas, I signed on the dotted line, and then she got started. She worked diligently for 6 hours without stopping. She was amazing! She completely transformed my closet so I could actually walk into it and use it, she organized my office files and desk so it was much more functional, and she decluttered the TV rec space and transformed it into a really nice chill spot. Janet is a professional organizer. She understands systems, and organization, loves helping persons bring order out of chaos, and listens to her clients to know what kind of changes they are ready to make. She can also design closets, work alongside you to sort and declutter, and give you a road map for work you will do on your own. I hired Janet to help me rethink the layout of my home office, so that it made sense not only in terms of storage of materials, price lists, order forms and so on, but that it made sense in terms of my work flow. Her insights were invaluable. Janet is a member and past president of NAPO, the National Association of Professional Organizers. She could not be nicer or more pleasant to work with. I highly recommend Janet to anyone needing another viewpoint on their home or office organization, or lack thereof.

My wife first met Robert approx. 2 years ago when a neighbor had a Murphy bed installed in her home. She was very impressed by his professionalism and dedication to his work. He offered to come to our house and look at things to suggest options for us, even though he knew we weren't looking to get things done for another year or two. We finally went back to his shop a couple of months ago with pictures of our space. He ended up spending almost 3 hours with us on a Sunday afternoon, painstakingly hearing us out and coming up with a preliminary design on a real-time basis. After that, once we had a general idea of what we wanted to do, he promptly sent us a detailed proposal shortly after. To further finalize things, he then came over our house one evening, spent another 2-3 hours taking measurements and finalizing the designs. During that whole time, he was completely honest on what he thought would work, and what wouldn't look good - and he was completely right! The work was completed a few weeks later ahead of schedule. He and his assistant personally spent almost 12 hours installing everything, and did great work taking care of every detail. All in all, its very clear that Rob not only enjoys what he does, but takes great pride in his work. We were very satisfied with the product, and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking to add great functionality to any space without taking up a whole lot of room w/ bulky furniture!

If you get the chance to use this tool take it! It gave me so much incentive to get going. Well worth your time.

Julie Pandya is knowledgable, enthusiastic, and a visionary. She came into my home, made an assessment, and created an action plan for me. We tackled almost every room in my home and de-cluttered and repurposed furniture I already owned to make each room more functional. She came up with organizational systems for me and worked side-by-side with me to ensure each room met my standards and was organized to completion. My "guest room" (which had become a storage room with no walkability due to the excessive clutter) is now a beautiful, welcoming space where people can actually sleep. I didn't know where to start, and Julie gave me the tools and input on what to do. She worked with me the entire time. We converted a former "office" (also a non-usable room due to major clutter) into a nursery, we cleaned out my closets and family room and revamped my entire kitchen and garage. I cannot say enough great things about her. If you need help decluttering your home (and, thus, life) she is the one for you. If you need help staging your house to sell, she's also fabulous with this, too.

Josh is quite simply amazing at what he does! He’s a dedicated professional within an extensive knowledge of his “craft.” He developed an organization process around my needs. He helped me simplify my home life so I have more time and resources for my hobbies and interests. It’s the best investment I’ve made in a long time. I was fortunate enough to have Joy& Space help me organize my apartment. I wasn't sure what to expect but I had a blast! Yuriko helps you organize and de-clutter in a completely non judgmental manner. Yuriko does everything at your pace. You are not made to feel that you are forced to get rid of items that you are not ready to get rid of yet. Yuriko's service is all about helping you de-clutter in a way that will fit your life style and comfort level. I really enjoyed learning how to fold my clothes in a way that creates more space. It makes traveling easier because all I do is grab the folded clothes and in my suitcase they go! If you are new to de-cluttering or have a need for it Joy&Space is the way to go!

I had hundreds of pictures from over 60 years ago. I have wanted to organize them and get them in an album for my son. It was an overwhelming, anxiety producing situation. I couldn't even get started. My son recommended Monica and she was just the ticket to get me going and NEARLY to completion of this task. She came to my house and helped me sort and categorize and get them all spread out in a logical way so that I can,now, easily get them into an album. Monica is so friendly,organized, and helpful. It was a fun time, and I am SO relieved to have gotten this far. I really recommend Monica - I think she'd be good at organizing anything!!

These folks are the best blood pressure medication ever. They recently helped me through a move and are now helping with another big project. Once they get involved I know everything will be fine. Deb and her assistants did a wonderful job in helping me downsize, organize and prepare for moving from a 6000 + square foot home containing 45 years of "stuff" to a small condo. They gave very personal service to me which also included uplifting encouragement, planning, and endless references to a network of outside resources such as making charitable donations, shredding old documents, consignment sales and much more. I feel very grateful to have had use of this service and I highly recommend this organization to young and old!!
