“We hired Dmitri once again to renovate a home we purchased for our daughter who suffers with Hyperacusis. Dmitri began by researching the affliction to fully understand the situation and then developed a plan. We gutted the house to the studs, and then added soundproof insulation and soundproof drywall. We replaced existing windows with triple glazed to improve sound quality as well as replacing exterior doors with soundproof doors. Radiant floor heating and sound absorbing duct work for the AC system were installed. We then completely renovated and soundproofed the bathrooms, kitchen and laundry room. Dmitri also installed glass block windows in the bathrooms, nice touch. We installed new flooring and baseboards also new solid interior doors and trim throughout the house. The stairs were upgraded and new banisters installed. We took two smaller bedrooms and combined them into one large master with tons of closet space, again completely soundproofed. All during this project, Dmitri’s was constantly concerned “by doing this, how would it improve the sound absorbing quality of the house”. He organized every step so there was never a “down time”. Dmitri’s work was impeccable. Everyone who dropped by during and after the reno were amazed by the quality and attention to detail (especially in the cabinetry).
