“We would give them more than 5 stars if we could. D’Urso Landscape & Construction provides terrific design and installation services. We are really impressed. The most standout aspects are their stellar design, communication/customer service, and installation skills. They have a landscape designer on staff who will come on site and design everything and extensively help with material selection. Once samples are delivered and materials are chosen, they provide a detailed estimate and a to-scale design plan for final review. During installation, the owner Lucio, is personally here every day and heavily involved in the the entire project. He lays most of the materials himself and his team is very competent as well. The installation was precise and polished. It is refreshing to have the owner working alongside the team making sure everything is perfect and interacting with the homeowner to answer any questions that arise. Lucio also approached us a few times to offer some improvements that weren’t in the initial scope of the project such as pulling out old stumps, filling in an empty septic tank, and dealing with some rotted wood issues on my home. When they finished, the cleanup was super as well. Lucio, Kristin, and the entire team are just terrific and a pleasure to work with. They constantly go above and beyond during every phase of the project and, importantly, are good, kind people. We would 100% recommend them and plan to use them again in the future. We are absolutely thrilled with how our landscape has turned out. This company is impressive, knowledgable and most importantly they care about their customers and projects.”

“Nancy Lattanzio is a very talented landscape designer who is also a pleasure to work with. Nancy has worked diligently with us for over 5 years and has transformed our uninspired yard into a beautiful, functional outdoor space. She has also worked to turn an untamed, invasive-choked wooded area/wetland into what we now refer to as our "woodland" filled with native trees, shrubs, ferns and perennials and mulched pathways. Nancy's knowledge of horticulture is vast and she is an ace at selecting the best plants suited to our environment while being sensitive to our personal preferences. Her communication skills are excellent, she has a large network of sub-contractors, and has experience working effectively with town government. I look forward to working with Nancy on more home landscape projects!”

“Collins Landscsping did a phenomenal job at my house in Dorchester. They dug out a basement egress, removed all bushes / grass from my front and back yard and installed a beautiful patio out front. The streets were tight but Collins Landscsping was able to complete the job in a safe manner maintaining a clean worksite throughout which kept the neighbors happy. I look forward to the spring where they will return to loam, sod and plant bushes throughout the property. The Collins landscaping team are true professionals with a keen eye in regards to punctuality, attention to detail and time management. I highly recommend hiring Collins landscaping and his team.”

“We live in a sideways house that was in dire need of curb appeal and better drainage, and Oliver Enterprises had recently done a beautiful job of hardscaping and landscaping a house across the street. (They had put in a stone front porch, front walk and retaining wall, as well as a pop-up sprinkler system, sod and foundation plantings.) They replaced our old brick front porch with a beautiful New England field stone porch with a wrought iron railing and granite landing/treads. They replaced our crumbling flagstone front walk with meandering concrete, which they hand embedded with small stones. They also regraded the slope to our house and redirected the downspouts to a pop-up further out in the yard to improve the drainage. We had a wonderful experience with them. They saw the potential in our unconventional front yard and came up with beautiful plan for its improvement. They did an excellent job of troubleshooting problems before providing a quote. Their prices were competitive and they charged us exactly as they said they would in the contract (to the penny). They showed up when they said they would. They stayed until the work was done. They were respectful of an old growth tree (a very large oak) and adjusted the path to keep its roots intact and allow it more space to grow. They were also pleasant to work with when we had different opinions about the curve of the front walk. They were respectful of our ideas and they were willing to make changes that both met our expectations and conformed to their own standards for masonry. I get compliments on their changes to my front yard every time I am outside doing work. I would gladly hire them again, and I intend to when we address our driveway and retaining walls in a couple of years.”

“We hired MainStay Landscape to design and build a patio for our backyard. Prior to instillation, ground cover and a sloping lawn existed where the patio was to go. In addition there lived a perennial garden, surrounded by a short, Pennsylvania stone wall in the middle of the backyard. We wanted the garden removed and the Pennsylvania stone incorporated into the patio retaining wall We also asked that he build around a mature Cherry Tree that provides privacy for the home. Jay designed a 480 square foot, bluestone patio, boarded on one side by a Pennsylvania stone, dry stack, retaining wall that gently curves around the Cherry Tree. Underneath the tree he planted a few of the plants removed from the perennial garden. Jay also included 5 LED wall lights that send light cascading down the wall at night, along with two up-lights for the Cherry Tree. Throughout the planning process Jay was attentive to our questions and requests. He was straightforward and accurate with his pricing. And when the time came to actually build (took 2 weeks), Jay and his team displayed the utmost in professionalism and trustworthiness. It is impossible to give a higher recommendation. They simply do things the right way and with a friendly, honest approach. We could not be happier with our new living space.”
