We had original laminate counters from the late 80's. The new granite update is absolutely amazing. The great service from the designing staff was tremendous. Thanks McKenzie and Shelly. The hardest part was picking out the granite because their selection is so beautiful. I had actually picked out a granite for kitchen but Shelly told me they had a new granite come in and wanted me to look at. LOVED it and so glad she took the time to show me. And yes, i did pick that granite for kitchen. So take advantage of these great ladies - they know their business. Shelly even crawled in dumpster to give us a remnant piece to take when we're looking for tile. McKenzie was so helpful with all questions. Very patient with me and appreciated it because it was a big decision and investment for us. McKenzie referred us to tile store too and sent them a picture of the granite. Finally the installation guy's. Super job from install to clean up. Personable professional and very easy to work with. Gave us granite maintenance information and tips. Took time to answer all my questions and were super. The gentleman who came to measure even gave me feedback on my sink choice when asked. Went with his recommendation too and very happy with sink. In fact just went back to Astonia and ordered kitchen sink through them. Loved the fact that Eric makes his own trip's to Brazil and picks his granite instead of using brokers here. So final word...great granite store and experience. Down to earth staff and so easy to work with. Trust them as they ALL know their business. Use the design staff of Shelly and McKenzie to help with selection. I had a hard time making up my mind on what granite to use and they didn't pressure me at all. No rush and they just wanted us to be happy with our selection. And we are- just love it! Thanks Ansonia team-I was a bit overwhelmed when starting this project. But you all made it a great experience. Will refer you to our friends and family and to me that says a lot! !”

“I had ceramic countertops for 20 years, before my granite tops. Anyone who has ever had to endure ceramic, will know what I mean when I say the improvement was 1000%. With that said, I don't have an incredible amount of money, so it was a huge decision. I wanted easy, and I wanted indestructible. I also prefer the looks of granite over anything else, but I also know that it is porous and needs to be sealed annually. What I didn't know is that all granites are different. I started out thinking I would install them myself. I do all types of construction, and thought I had enough skill to do it adequately. After watching Pacific Granites crew, I realized they had a very unique set of skills. I am very glad I didn't try this. Also, Pacific Granite's prices were very close, to what it would have cost me to do it myself (I thought their prices and selection were amazing). My countertop is flawless! I had one seam, and the installers did the seam so perfectly, you have to be on top of it to see it, and you can barely feel it when you run your finger over it. Pacific Granite uses highly skilled installers. Ok, now I know what you are thinking, because I thought it also. What if you weren't 100% happy with something? Well, they ran a little short on the back splash, and I noticed a splice in one of my backsplash pieces. It was done very well, and when Dana, from Maple Grove Pacific Granite called to see how I liked the installation, I mentioned it to her. I work in construction, and I really felt guilty even bringing it up, but that was all it took. Dana had a new back splash in the works and I just got it installed today. This is after they had their money, also. Many companies will never respond to something like that after they have the final payment. I was being very picky, but the entire installation was perfect, with that one little exception. I bothered me. Now it's perfect! I could of easily lived with that back splash, but now I feel like I could have never done better elsewhere. Pacific Granite has high ratings on Angie's List, and also the BBB. My niece is a contractor on Angie's list, and I know a high rating is a big deal. I'm also skeptical about black marks on the BBB, but Angie's list is what sold me. So here is what I'm saying, shop everywhere else, check out all your options, but make Pacific Granite your last stop. You won't need to go farther. They have an incredible selection of all the stones available. I think the prices are awesome, but find out for your self. Also feel comfortable you will be happy when the job is done. Pacific Granite is a no-brained. I have a couple of custom bathroom tops that I'll be back for. I am very happy with this company. I am making it a point to review them like this, because everyone reviews when they are unhappy, but we forget (I'm no different) when they do a tremendous job. They are very patient and excellent to do business with. I will continue to recommend them, and do business with them my self.”
