CHRISTY KOHLER Ever since I was a young girl, design was my passion. I came to New York in 1990 for a job in International telecommunications – first as a software engineer and then sales and marketing. While traveling the globe, I saw many exotic beautiful places, but it was eventually the spaces of New York - Soho, the East Village - that I fell in love with. My passion for creativity was rekindled, and a new venture called...... Armed with a degree in Interior design, the discipline to follow through on a vision, and the gift of visual conceptualization, I founded CK Design. Whether designing commercial or residential spaces, I find the optimal use of a space. With each design decision – scale, color, and texture - I create a room that is balanced and soothing, a workplace that is comfortable and productive. Clean lines, sophisticated color palettes, sumptuous textures, and bold lighting mark a CK Design space. Designing a space which is both visually comfortable and leaves my clients feeling like their best self is my expertise. My greatest reward is helping clients define their style and discover where they fit on the spectrum of simple and decorated. Are you ready to create your optimal space?
Amre Griffin, founder and owner of Rienu, was born and raised in Northern New Jersey. She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Although Amre always had an eye for design, her life in NYC exposed her to rich culture and new ideas. When she started her business on a shoestring budget, her goal was to help people take what they have and make it feel like new. Thus, Rienu (renew) was born. Amre’s love of life and electric personality is reflected in her work. She has a unique talent for blending colors and textures in a dramatic and comfortable way. She combines antiques with modern pieces and creates a space that is both beautiful and memorable. Her goal is to create spectacular but livable homes that reflect the client’s personality and lifestyle. A key component to that is creating a system of organization that maximizes the homes functionality for the family or individual. Rienu was founded in 2003. Since then, Amre’s business has expanded throughout the Tri State Area. She works with all sizes of projects and budgets and always brings great energy and acute attention to detail. This has included small and large-scale design projects, home staging and organization. She donates her time to various charities in her community and has been featured in three episodes of the NBC show George to the Rescue. Working with George Oliphant has been extremely gratifying because they have helped transform the homes of families in need. Her design and home organization work has also been featured in “ Home” magazine and “Real Simple” magazine.

Lucy Harris is a full-service interior design studio based in New York City. Building on personal histories rooted in design, Lucy and her team create spaces that are reflective of the people who inhabit them, mingled with their own love of modernism. Lucy Harris’ process is a collaborative one. The studio takes all aspects of its clients’ lives into account to yield a unique narrative for each room. From the initial vision through to completion, Lucy Harris ensures that every detail, every accent, every moment is meaningful, intentional and beautiful. Lucy Harris’ clients come from varied backgrounds, but have one thing in common: A desire to live in homes that tell distinctive stories. The studio has worked on residential and hospitality projects in New York City, Westchester and the Hamptons and embraces the opportunity to work on design projects the world over. About Lucy Harris Growing up in a modernist house in Concord, Massachusetts, Lucy Harris was surrounded by, and given an appreciation for, thoughtful design. From her great-great grandparent’s eclectic art- and antiques-filled Federal townhouse in Beacon Hill (now the Nichols House Museum) to her great-grandparents’ Arts and Crafts summer home in Ipswich, Massachusetts to the Mid-Century house where she currently lives in Westchester’s Usonia, Lucy has always surrounded herself with thoughtful, beautiful, timeless design. Building on that heritage, Lucy continues to be influenced by many different movements in art and design, from the Bauhaus to Minimalism. Eclecticism is at the root of her designs, and her work is reminiscent of the “impossible bouquets” of Dutch Master painters, in which flowers that would not normally grow together exist side-by-side in the name of art. An avid traveler who has lived in Rome and Milan, Lucy visits Europe often for inspiration, and sources furniture, rugs, lighting and materials from all over the world. She also works with skilled craftspeople from Los Angeles to Brooklyn to realize her custom designs. High End Residential Interior Designer “Every project is a new experience – there is no set formula to the way I design. I listen to my clients and try to understand what is important to them and how I can help turn their desire into reality. Having traveled extensively through Europe and Asia on fashion buying trips, I find my inspiration comes from many different places. From a beautiful hand knotted rug or luxurious fabric, to a whimsical trim or a unique piece of art…one piece can set the foundation for a room and everything else evolves from that. I begin by finding the key elements that will make the room function properly and comfortably, and then layer in pieces that will personalize and bring the space to life.” —Valerie Grant
