My Experience with Champion Roofing: Project Estimator Scott was knowledgeable, professional and patient answering all my questions and related issues. Workers arrived on time as promised. The lead worker explained the sequence of what was going to be done from covering with a tarp the area outside of my house to explaining the careful removal and reinstallation of my satellite dish. At the conclusion of the work, my property was left without any debris left behind after the roof installation. Being a customer since 2003, I will continue to recommend Champion Roofing to friends and family.

We had a small project. Champion was recommended by our homeowner's insurance agent and the insurance adjuster. They have extensive knowlege of the trade and I could claim almost none. We called Champion, obtained a complete and professional estimate with a realistic price and, best of all, a realistic estimate of when the project would be done. And, it was done in the expected time. I tried to obtain estimates from Angi recommended roofers but almost none responded and those that did never provided an estimate, presumably because the project was too small. We were able to obtain estimate, select materials, and have project completed even though I was 700 miles away from home during the process. Champion handled Evanston IL permits and coordinating with neighbor who shares driveway with no hiccups at all. The finished project was attractive, effective and there was no trace of shingles removed or installed left behind. In an industry not noted for reliability, Champion stands out for integrity and competency and being easy to work with.

I am representing Lake Street Church at 607 Lake Street in Evanston, IL., for whom a damaged gutter was replaced on the north side of the church building, just over the Connections for the Homeless entrance. Champion Roofing was kind enough to give is 2 days notice which enable us to inform Connections of the planned work in advance. While removing the old gutter, they notice a heating wire within had been broken and spliced the wires for us. They arrived before 8AM and completed the job in 3 hours (less time than indicated to us)! They were professional through every step of the process. I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone who might need their services. Also, I plan on contacting them in the future for any other related work that might become necessary.

I just had my house tuckpointed by Champion Roofing and I was thrilled with the job they did. Everything is well done and very neat, including the extras they put on (chimney cap, dryer vent cover.) I had my roof replaced by Champion roofing a few years ago as well and was extremely happy with that job too. The men were very courteous and did a wonderful job cleaning up after themselves. You could not tell that any work had been done (except for the new, beautiful look.) It was a pleasure working with Harry Friedman and his staff. We're very happy with their work and highly recommend them. They called the day before to schedule a work window and then called the next day to give us a more specific arrival time which they met. They identified and explained the roofing problem we had and showed us pictures of the repair process. They were also extremely neat and courteous.

We had a flat roof installed on a 12 unit building. I believe we received a through estimate and it was almost spot on. We added a few details we wanted done with some tuckpointing and they had a company come finish it off. Our roof was inspected by GAF and we received a 20 year Guarantee on the roofing system. It has been about 3 months since completion, but we are very satisfied with the work.

Pros- Work performed seemed adequate to good, had to perform additional work to rectify issues, workers appeared to have done a good job. Cons - Were several weeks late performing the work, arrived abruptly one day without communicating with the property manager or giving unit owners who work from home adequate time to adjust, since they did not start work for five weeks after they initially told our property manager. Work was to be performed in mid October, work started in mid November, and was completed in December.

The job was done quickly and professionally and the people were a pleasure to deal with. I will use them again.

We experienced a ceiling leak that frustrated our efforts to identify its source. Tony from Champion Roofing visited us and provided a detailed inspection before identifying likely leak points and recommending a repair plan we approved. Three workmen appeared on a very cold day with their roofing materials and overlapped a flat section of the roof and caulked roof flashing. In 90 minutes they were done and removed all debris from the worksite. We were pleased to see that the work appeared much more professional than the original roofing installation. We would recommend Champion for any roofing installation or repair..

Harry from Champion Roofing, Inc. is my new hero! Our church has a steeply peaked roof that was leaking and needed replacement and most of the other roofing companies I attempted to reach to get an estimate wouldn't even provide me with one since the peak was so great. Harry gave us a fair quote, once his son Aaron explored a bit more, found out that we had a fiberglass board under the shingles to protect some wiring so had to increase the quote substantially. His crew was able to use the old/existing fiberglass and removed the additional charge on our bill. There is no way we would have known about this if he wasn't so honest. We needed the roof replaced quickly since water was pouring into the church and Harry got a crew of 20 men to complete the roof in one, count em, one day. They came back the next day for a clean up - poof - we are dry again. Behind the Scenes of Our New Champion Roof Installation. 1st contact: Office staff was very professional. Within 6 hours an in-home estimate/roof inspection date was provided, and he arrived on-time the following day. Twenty-four hours later, we had a detailed estimate with insurance and license information. Aaron, our estimator, and the office staff provided superior service throughout, and a fair estimate. Therefore, we chose Champion Roofing. Day 1: A Port-O-Potty is delivered for the crew at 6:00 a.m. By 6:30 a.m. - a team arrives to protect plantings, shrubs and our concrete driveway. 7:30 a.m. - truck arrives and delivers new materials, while a 2nd truck delivers a dumpster. 8:00 a.m. – crew arrives, puts on “saftey gear” and begins to remove old roof. 5:00 p.m. – crew had removed & replaced ½ of our new “high-tech” roofing system and they cleaned up our, and the neighbors’ yards before leaving – excellent! The following day: 6:00 a.m. crew arrives. 5:30 p.m. - crew cleans job site after installing the 2nd half of the roofing system. Day three: 7:00 a.m. – small crew returns to install new roof trim, chimney cap, new gutters and downspouts. The following day it rained hard all morning and we have no leaks. Two weeks later our home remains dry, it looks great and we are far more energy-efficient thanks to the handiwork and professionalism of the team at Champion Roofing. My first contact with Champion was redoing a flat roof on my 2-flat - a resounding success that has lasted beyond all reasonable expectations. Since then I have become familiar with their work on Lake Street Church in Evanston where we have been very impressed with both their service and the outstanding quality of their work. Most recently they replaced hail damaged roofing and are in the process of a protracted negotiation with my insurer about replacing my siding also damaged in the hail storm. Finally they just did an emergency gutter repair at Lake Street - for about a third of what they had originally estimated. I recommend them to all my friends without reservation.

We had problems with our ceiling and condensation with our kitchen cabinet ever since we bought the house in 2012, and we hired many roofers and insulation companies but they did not find the source of the problem. Champion Roofing identified the source of problem with our roof, that had been installed by previous owners. Champion Roofing did the first project in 2015, and the work was great. In 2020, our roof was damaged by a hailstorm. Champion roofing did an excellent, efficient job, once again. Our neighbor also installed a new roof same time as we did. It took them two weeks, while Champion had ours completed within the same day. Anyway, Champion can do a clean, neat and quality job.

We had a lot of roof, gutter, and siding damage when a tree blew onto the house in July. Champion did the work. Champion was through, did a great job, and was complete with their work. They were able to fix multiple types of roof wind damage that I had from my gutters, shingles, siding, and window trim. I'm thankful that with all of the storm damage could be completed by one great contractor. Their quoted estimate was inline with the insurance. They did good work.
