About Us

Paul Fowler, our president, a native from North Devon, England, settled here in the Bay area in 1987. Shortly after, he began his career in the roofing industry. For the next 6 years, Paul practiced and learned the trade, installing many different types of roof systems. Paul feels this opportunity to gather, learn, and gain a wealth of ''hands on'' installation knowledge, has attributed to the success of Westshore Roofing, Inc., which he and his wife, Shirine, founded in 1992. Westshore Roofing Inc. has become San Jose's premier commercial and residential roof repair company. Paul is still active in the field of operations and takes time to participate in overseeing the current day-to-day roof installations. The company currently employs 30 full-time employees who are all experts in residential and commercial roof installations in the San Jose area. Westshore Roofing, Inc. is truly a family run business. Paul's wife, Shirine is responsible for the business administration and their son Ben, who joined the company in 2008, facilitates project operations for the company.

Ben made the entire process extremely smooth and easy. Everyone was fantastic to work with. I was amazed how quickly my roof and gutters were replaced. The demolition crew came out the first day and when they were done, the roofing crew was ready to start. They worked late the first day and was back early the next morning. They finished my new roof on the second day. On the third day, my gutters and downspouts were replaced. The crew found and fixed all the downspout locations where water was pooling next to the foundation. They located the new downspouts in a way that would have water flow away from the foundation. I really appreciated that. It was an all-around great experience. I would highly recommend Westshore Roofing.

We had our roof and rain gutters replaced. Our friend recommended them. We are very happy with the experience overall. All the employees we have interacted were professional and courteous. The company seemed to function like a well-oiled machine. Paul the company president provided brochures and samples for us to read and answered all our questions to our satisfaction. He explained our options and their differences clearly. The office staff rescheduled the work due to rain forecast proactively. They covered shelves in the garage and the pool with plastic sheets. They helped keep much dust and debris off. At the end of each day, materials were placed neatly out of the way. Clean-up crew came often and did a good job of picking up most of debris. When the fastening of downspouts turned out a bit ugly, the workmen explained the reason voluntarily.

Westshore was extremely professional throughout the whole project from discussing options to completing the project. Their roofer showed great pride of workmanship and was a true craftsman, and the result shows the care and attention to detail.

I've been a customer of Westhshore Roofing for several years. I highly recommend them based on their service and support over the years in responding to several fixes needed over time. Most recently they completed putting on a whole new roof. They did so in a very timely manner and it looks great!

I hired Westshore Roofing to make a repair on my main roof and to put in a new roof on my detached garage in April of this year. Paul was very professional and the work was finished on time. They always showed up when they said they were going to be there, and did a good job cleaning up after themselves. Westshore Roofing is reliable and did a good job--I have already recommended them to my friends!

Westshore roofing replaced our old 28 year old wood shingle roof with clay tiles. We are very happy with our roof install. Our house is a two story house with several slopes and not a simple roofing job, and they did a great job. We liked Ivon who was the crew supervisor and his attention to details and our questions and requests. Before deciding on our roof we called the owner Paul many times with the questions and he answered our questions honestly before signing a contract and even after roof was completed.
