Bergby Construction Inc

Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsDecember 9, 2012
Jeff Bergby is building our new home. It is a 2,000+ sq. ft. one story home. It will be complete in Jan. 2013. Jeff is very experienced and builds quality homes. He has a consistently positive, up-beat attitude on and off the job site. He has had several homes win in "tour of homes" in our area. Jeff has been very easy to work with, making suggestions but always letting us make the final decision. Jeff works hard to stay in budget and meet deadlines to the best of his ability. He's never pushy nor has a know-it-all attitude. The sub-contractors are very professional, also, and have done excellent work. I would highly recommend Jeff Bergby for constructing a new or remodeling an existing home.

Premier Remodeling completely remodeled the kitchen and a bathroom in my historic home. The finished work is absolutely beautiful. It's truly the kitchen I dreamed of having.

Mountainwood Homes performed magic on our 1986 galley kitchen. On Joel's first visit, he saw what the other contractors missed: what we thought was a bearing wall was only holding up the balcony. Reducing the size of this underused space allowed expansion of the kitchen below and removal of an unnecessary hallway. The dated drop ceiling and recessed light panel were replaced with a vaulted ceiling and hanging track lighting. Even though the original attic space above the range had access to the roof, the hood was not vented. The old electric range had a downdraft that never worked well and a small oven. The new kitchen sports an island gas cooktop, overhead vent with a chimney extending up through the vaulted ceiling, and a 30" wall convection oven. Heather provided great design with granite, backsplash, paint, and fixtures. Cabinetry by Cutting Edge was a perfect fit. We also extended the hardwood flooring into the dining room. The Mountainwood team was flexible as changes were needed, finished the project on time and produced great results.

Professional nice job. Had insulation in walls put in, and basement had plastic put in around the walls where there was dirt originally. 1906 home. Had only one issue and it was fixed immediatley. Other than that, great work. I would hire them again no doubt.

Allen and his team did a great job on our kitchen remodel and I would highly recomend them to anyone looking to do a kitchen remodel to there home or investment property. We had a closed kitchen and cornerstone offered us a design to update our kitchen as it was before or something a little more creative. Once we saw the open design we knew we wanted to shake things up. Every single person comes in and is amazed at the results. People comment that it has transformed our whole house. Great job guys. -Jeff & Jeanne Rouse, Beaverton, Oregon
Maughan Design & Remodel

Last fall, we took on our first remodel project (master bath) and hired Kathie Maughan to work with us on the project. While we had the choice of just having her do a design for us, we knew we wanted the added comfort of having her handle all the details, and had her manage the project as well. This was a really good decision. Kathie made sure we felt comfortable with every phase of the project and worked hard at correcting any issues that came up. She checked in almost every day and was always available to answer my questions (even on a Saturday at one point). But beyond the pleasure of working with Kathie, is the pleasure of working with her wonderfully conscientious crew. They answered questions, explained processes and were unfailingly friendly and courteous. This is a great bunch of people to have come into your home and leave a beautiful space behind. We are truly pleased with the results and will use Maughan Design again in the future.

As a homeowner who has had a number of remodel jobs, plus the construction of our "dream house" done, the most impressive thing Roloff Construction provided was a detailed timeline of when to expect work to be done. I have never, ever, been offered such a detailed plan. Then they executed it,always informing us in advance of any change. Amazing! That's besides insisting on total daily cleanup and top notch contractors that left us feeling highly satisfied with the experience.

In 2010 we were building a house based off some plans I had ordered online. It was a lovely 3-storie craftsman home, we wanted to leave the basement unfinished. The house plans had a basement full of vertical support beames to hold the weight of the home. I was wanting an open-concept basement, because I was unsure how I wanted the space to look when we did finish it. I knew the beams would creat limits. Matt was able to replace nearly all of the vertical beams with 1-very large horizontal support beam in the ceiling of the basement, & another vertical support beam on the main floor. Both beams were an attractive asset to the home, & helped embrace that craftsman charm.
