When I started my business in 2006, I was able to connect with so many professionals that were engaged in the daily activities of owning a professional drapery workroom due to the efforts of Margie Nance's organization. The online forum was the place to get answers to questions and advice that you wouldn't find in any books. The business supplies, books and tools sold by the Drapery & Design Professional Network were invaluable to a new entrepreneur starting out in the workroom business. Also, the quarterly magazine was a tremendous help. Just knowing there were other professionals that had struggled with and solved many of the same issues I was working on was a comfort.

Over 20 years ago, I found the forum after I had been in the business for a couple of years, and it opened my eyes to the world of the workroom, and let me know that I wasn't the only one working in my home making custom home furnishings.
