The Building Industry Association of Hawaii (BIA) is the voice of the construction industry. The BIA promotes our members through advocacy and education, and provides community outreach programs to enhance the quality of life for the people of Hawaii. The BIA is a not-for-profit professional trade organization chartered in 1955, affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders.
Founded in 1975, ASID is the oldest, largest and leading professional organization for interior designers. It is a community of people — designers, industry representatives, educators and students — committed to interior design. Through education, knowledge sharing, advocacy, community building and outreach, we strive to advance the interior design profession and, in the process, to demonstrate and celebrate the power of design to positively change people’s lives. The Society's purposes are driven by the following core values and strategic guideposts: - ASID leads collaboration with those working to promote the value of interior design - ASID prepares its members to excel in a dynamic and evolving profession competing in a global market - ASID leads the profession through the generation, collection and dissemination of applied knowledge - ASID serves the interior design profession, including the members of the Society We are the ASID Hawaii Chapter and we represent a large network of interior designers, industry partners and design students across the Hawaiian Islands.
