International Furnishings and Design Association

The International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) is a trade association whose members provide services and products to the furnishings and design industry. IFDA members are executives in companies that manufacture, distribute, design, report on, promote, and sell products that furnish and/or design residences and commercial sites. This encompasses decorative fabrics, furniture, accessories, window treatments, wall and floor coverings, lighting, hard and soft products for the kitchen and bath, table and housewares, hardware, and building products. Other members are engaged in graphics, residential and contract design, education, publishing, licensing, marketing, and communications. IFDA’s mission is inspiring collaboration within the furnishings and design industry to support its people their products and services. Founded in New York in l947, IFDA was originally designed to advance the role of women in the furnishings and design industry, however the Association later expanded its membership to include both men and women. Growing nationwide, then international, with the addition of a Chapter in Japan, we now have 14 chapters with more than 850 members. Headquartered in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, IFDA Chapters are located in the following areas: Arizona Northern California Carolinas Florida Georgia Illinois Japan Minnesota New England New York Philadelphia Richmond Texas Washington, D.C.
