“Kristine was very helpful in helping me design my new kitchen. She was very thorough and listened closely to my needs. She was very knowledgeable in the different styles of cabinets. She met me at the tile store and was creative in helping me choose a custom backsplash tile. She was always working for me and finding the best product at the best price. She designed my sister Kathy's beach house - new bathroom and kitchen. My sister recommended Kristine and I found her help to be very valuable. Kathy was very pleased with Kristine's work.”

“Kae has worked on a number of design projects for both my Bainbridge Island waterfront home and most recently my daughter’s first apartment on Capitol Hill in Seattle. The projects have ranged from custom paint color consultation for my home’s exterior and interior spaces to creating in a matter of weeks a nautical themed guest suite. She pulled together furnishings, floor coverings, bedding, accessories and decor to create a welcoming space for my family and friends. With my twenty something daughter she collaborated with her evolving sense of style to create a Capitol Hill living space that is both urban simple and cozy! Always conscientious of timeline and budget, Kae can execute your vision and develop design concepts quickly: Highly recommend and she’s fun!”

“Cooking has always been a central focus in our home, and the harmony was diminished by our outdated and poorly designed kitchen. Thanks to Molly and A Kitchen That Works LLC, our family of cooks has been inspired again to create meals that bring family and friends together for unforgettable dining experiences. I might also add that Molly always goes above and beyond. We recently had a plumbing emergency due to our own oversight and could not make it back to the house to deal with the issue. Not only did Molly locate someone to handle the problem, but she met the service tech at our house and cleaned up the mess! NOW, THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! You'll be doing yourselves a favor of the highest magnitude by inviting A Kitchen That Works into your home.”

“If you’re wondering if you should higher J&C Construction as your contractor the answer is simple. YES! Stop hesitating, stop contemplating it, and higher them before they get booked up and your months out. I interviewed 4 separate contractors and companies before selecting John and his team, and I could not have made a better choice. From the minute I started working with John I knew I had made the right decision. He, and his team, exude customer service and perfection in their work that is beyond what you could ever imagine or hope for, especially for a contractor. I hired John and team to complete a bathroom remodel consisting of putting in a tile shower (using the Kerdi system), a new door frame and door, window, and lighting fixture above the shower, not only did they do everything to perfection they happily fixed a few other things without even a thought of tacking on change orders and charging me an arm and leg for it. They just fixed it, because they wanted to make it look right! John also helped quite a bit with the design and providing recommendations and options on the layout of our shower and the tile selections we had made. They worked hard, kept it clean, and finished when they said they would! I have some of the highest expectations of customer service and standards and find that about 5% of companies meet my expectations, John and his team far exceeded them. Because of this and the relationship that was built leading up to and during the work they performed, I without hesitation added additional work of building a fence on a retaining wall that I had needed to get done. To give an example of the customer service John provides, I called him easily no less than 50 times between our initial meet and the project start date (1 month), and he answered his phone every time, or I got a call back within 5-10 min. I made several changes over the course of that month, and never did a I hear a hint of frustration from him on giving me yet another updated bid, or coming up with creative ways to solve what I thought were huge problems. I could not recommend John and his company higher, and you can believe I will be calling them for any other work I need done. Sincerely Chris Miller 425-877-3573….”

“Phinney Ridge CC provided replacement lower cabinets for a partial kitchen remodel in Fall, 2014. They were responsive, took accurate measurements, and cabinets and trim pieces were ready at the time they were promised. I opted for lots of pull-out drawers, which I love, and they had options for many depths of those drawers, plus advice on arranging the drawers and cabinets to create a sleeker look. The specifications for these projects are really important so that drawers do not open into dishwashers, etc. Tim was very detail-oriented about planning for the corner areas. As well, I bought my own corner slide-out unit online, and they were able to plan the width of the corner cabinet to accommodate it exactly. I bought my own slide-out garbage unit, and that went well also. One drawer that arrived too deep such that it ran into an outlet box Phinney Ridge CC replaced at no charge. Excellent products (we've been enjoying for a year now) and great customer service.”

“Regarding: Savvy Cabinetry by Design This business is very appropriately named: Savvy--Shrewdness and knowledge; common sense; intelligence; discernment; insight; understanding; know-how During our recent total kitchen remodel we had the opportunity to experience the true savvy of virtually everyone at the firm. I was fortunate enough to wander into the business and be welcomed by Debbie Wagner, the Office Manager, who promptly introduced me to Designer, Ross Swift. While I had ideas and opinions of my own, Ross came to our house with Project Manager, Charles Robison, took measurements, listened, and helped to form ideas about how to best utilize the 9' x 12' space without intruding into our formal dining room. I met with Ross several times. At my request, he sent me off to research materials, appliances, and ideas and together we came up with the final plan to achieve our dream kitchen--something that maximizes use of the room, is beautiful, and functions ideally with our lifestyle. While we were concerned that our situation was beyond hope, Ross came up with some ideas we had not previously considered. The retractable hood--which we had never heard of--did much to increase a feeling of spaciousness as well as to protect my tall husband from bumping his head on a hood--as did a corner sink, repositioning the dishwasher, and opening the door out into the alcove, rather than inward to intrude into our limited space. Ross then angled the counter to the edge of the exterior door, providing room for someone to stand in that space, and an appropriately narrow counter space which keeps our heavy kitchen mixer out of the way. The people at Savvy work as a team: if I popped in and had a question, someone immediately stepped up to help me, even if Ross or Chuck was not there. While we were given guidance and ideas, they listened to and helped us to realize our dream and to permit me to have some French touches--probably a first for any design team. Since I was not able to find what I wanted I located some script for "Bon Appetit" and had ceramic painter, Paul Lewing, paint the words on a tile for me. My hand-made glass roosters and framed needlepoint chickens retain their places of prominence, as do the large Santons which remind me of studying in Provence. My baker's rack now serves to house a cabinet-depth microwave, which replaced the previous above-the-range one and permitted us to have the retractable hood. We developed total trust in Savvy and completely surprised ourselves and our friends by feeling comfortable leaving the house and our project in their hands while we left on holiday. We knew that Charles Robison, our Project Manager, would come by daily and report back to us. Ah, the wonderful convenience of an iPad AND Savvy! Customer satisfaction is definitely a priority for Savvy. Thank you!”
