“When my parents sold my childhood home and downsized to a 2-bedroom apartment, my siblings and I jumped at the chance to scoop up some of their great furniture. It’s not that I loved the style of my parents furniture - it’s all fairly traditional American/English style - but I did love the idea of having these incredibly well constructed pieces and keeping the furniture (and memories!) in our family. I ended up with a small apartment worth of furniture when all was divided up! I wasn’t quite sure where to turn as I had never bought antiques/vintage furniture that needed to be re-done. I asked for a few recommendations from a friend who is an interior designer - she gave me only one name and told me they would take care of everything for me: Revitaliste. Best recommendations I’ve ever gotten! I decided to start with my “new” dining table and chairs. The table had a lot of water marks and the leaves were a totally different color than the rest of the table as they seldom were used. Some of the chairs were a bit rickety and all of them had absolutely no padding left in the seats. The fabric was tired and dated. In other words, this dining set needed a complete makeover. Working with Revitaliste was SO easy and fun! I uploaded pictures of my table and chairs on their website and got a quote back immediately. I filled out a design questionnaire that they then used to help me figure out the best wood stain color and sheen for the protective coat as well as the fabric for the seats. I loved how they took into consideration the fact that we have young kids and love to entertain. The fabrics they suggested were all stain resistant and gorgeous!!! When we’d finally decided on all the details, they picked up the whole set and a few weeks later they return the most INCREDIBLE dining room set!! I’ve also now re-done a pair of nightstands for my daughter’s bedroom - we lacquered them a sweet light pink color. The next project up is a super cool caned bench; we’re going to replace the broken caning and make a seat cushion for it. I’m slowly but surely working my way through the remaining furniture. I love having the help of Revitaliste’s designers to guide me in making choices that work with my existing decor and that are family friendly!! It’s also incredibly helpful to be able to use one company for “revitalizing” all the furniture I got from my parents.”

One particular piece was an old wardrobe that I inherited (I must say I hated it...) and she made it into something I actually love and will feel good passing down myself. She not only redesigned it with better doors, but she handled finding a craftsman to execute the design (I paid her to just do it for me...) and delivered it in 3 weeks! Gina is a great product designer in her own right and knows woodworking inside out. What a gem to have her in the Triangle area; she gets 5-stars from our household!”

“I contacted Olivia on a Wednesday afternoon about constructing neutral slipcovers for a red leather upholstered chaise w/back cushion and bolster pillow. Olivia came out the next morning with loads of fabric samples in hand and helped me pick the perfect fabric and color to coordinate with my other furnishings and colors in my home. We picked a beautiful 'ultra suede/microfiber' in a gorgeous camel/beige neutral. She quoted a price on which we agreed (the price was in line with my expectations), took my chaise w/cushion and bolster pillow and said 'give me three weeks'. I was nervous about how the slipcovers would look, not having seen it done - but Olivia had sent me pics of her other work, and it was beautiful, so I was comfortable in her ability to 'make it work'. In less than a week and a half (with a holiday included), Olivia called and said 'we're ready to deliver'! (Olivia obviously believes in the philosophy 'under-promise and over-deliver'). I was thrilled, but still nervous..... Well: NOW I AM LOOKING FOR OTHER PIECES I CAN HAVE ATLANTA CRAFTSMAN WORK FOR ME! Olivia's workmanship is absolutely superb, and the slipcovers on the chaise/cushion/bolster do not look like slipcovers - the piece looks like a brand new chaise upholstered in rich suede with matching back cushion and bolster! And I still have the flexibility of easily removing the neutral slipcovers via cleverly hidden zippers to show the pop of red leather when I want (during cooler months when I want to 'warm things up a bit'!). I cannot say enough good things about the beauty and expert workmanship in Olivia's work - except that I will never call anyone else to do upholstery work for me; and I cannot stop looking at my 'new' chaise! Atlanta Craftsman doesn't just 'make it work' - Atlanta Craftsman makes it EXTRAORDINARY!!!!”
