This is the best company I have ever worked with. Outstanding work on my Hardie siding and trim. Great attention to detail, extremely high integrity. There was no need for me to oversee their work, as they took pride in doing an excellent job and it shows. I would hire them again in an instant.

Michael, Danny, Katherine and the project team from Custom Concepts were great to work with and did amazing work on our house. Our home had cheap, damaged vinyl siding and was in dire need of an upgrade. We spoke with multiple contractors to gauge costs for vinyl or James Hardie siding installation and Custom Concepts seemed clearly the best. Michael’s proposal was 10x more thorough and professional than the others. Pricing was very competitive - only slightly more for Hardie board than others proposed for vinyl installation - and the team was up front about scheduling and easy to work with through the contract and payment process. Danny reached out to kick off the project right on schedule. Materials were delivered promptly and neatly and the crew, led by David, did fast, quality work. Definitely the only project we’ve ever completed that was done faster than expected. The finished product looks great and we would definitely work with them again. Highly recommend.

We used Custom Concepts to replace our stucco exterior with Hardi siding and update our gutters and downspouts. It was a challenging job but they did exceptional work. They are incredibly detailed oriented, had great suggestions for design, and were very professional onsite. And they were highly communicative throughout the entire project. We hired Custom Concepts to replace our siding and remodel one area of our dining room (to close off an old door and install a new window in its place). From the beginning we've been so impressed with CCC's professionalism and attention to detail. First we met with Michael, who was really patient in answering all of our questions and really thinking through our project to ensure no surprises. Once the contract was signed, we really appreciated Katherine who was our liaison and kept us updated on contract progress, scheduling and meeting dates/times. She's very pleasant and super organized. Then when work started, Danny was amazing and the crew top notched. Everyone worked so hard (like start at 8am and working until 6 to 6:30pm). They were so detail oriented, careful, clean and courteous. We have never had any contractor finish on budget and AHEAD of schedule. These folks worked so fast and so hard while delivering us gorgeous work. We are thrilled to have hired CCC and will wholeheartedly refer them to friends and neighbors. You will not be disappointed!

We had a complex project with multiple different types of work being done. They used different staff at each step, ensuring experts in their particular field did the work. Additionally, Danny was a constant presence to ensure that each piece of work done by a different expert fit the holistic scheme and intent of the project. On multiple occasions, Danny's presence, expertise, and attention to detail ensured our project came out perfect. Looking at the completed job, all those little details done correctly are obvious and really make a difference in how much we enjoy our new space. We LOVE the work they did! Importantly, they're honest! We've worked with many contractors over the years of homeownership and Custom Concepts Construction was the most fair and honest company we've ever dealt with. There were no hidden charges, unexplained costs, or inferior products substituted. We were stuck at home during COVID and watched the work progress and be performed daily. They did what they said they were going to do, using the products they said they were going to use, at the price they said it would cost. I cannot emphasize the value and comfort in knowing Custom Concepts Construction does excellent, honest work at a fair price. Finally, their communication throughout the project was fantastic! We always knew who was coming, when they were showing up, what they were doing, and approximately how long it would take. They also communicated immediately if something shifted based on availability of parts or staff. Again, the value and comfort of being fully aware of the status of our project cannot be emphasized enough.

Custom Concepts Construction was great to work with from beginning to end. Michael was very engaged helping us through the planning process. He answered every question we had (we had a lot) and was very quick to respond. Our project scope changed quite a bit by the time we were able to schedule construction, and Michael helped us navigate through all of that. Most importantly, he came to the table with ideas on what we should do. That's what we were looking for, expert advice. Danny managed the project and was extremely responsive, thorough, and helpful through the whole process. This was a huge project for us (windows, doors, siding, soffit, trim, lights, porch remodel, etc) and having someone be so involved and responsive eliminated a lot of the stress. Again, we had a ton of questions, and Danny was quick to answer our questions and address any of our concerns. In the end, during our punch list review Danny pointed out some minor things to fix, that I hadn't even noticed, so his attention to detail was great. You can really tell that the team takes pride in their work. I think the first day the siding went up, they were as excited as we were. Juan led the day-to-day construction at the house, and he and his team did amazing work. The whole team was great, professional, and friendly. We worked often with Katherine for billing, and she was very responsive, kind and always helpful. We couldn't be happier with the outcome. Our 50+ year old house looks brand new...amazing! There were so many times throughout this process that I told my wife “Thank goodness we picked this company" because they were great throughout the entire process, and they do incredible work. It was a great experience from beginning to end, with a great end result. I couldn't recommend them more.

We engaged with Custom Concepts to replace our siding and gutters. Every step of the process was professional and personal. We went through several designs and the team was patient with us all the way. Once the remodel began, everything went smooth and quickly. The site remained clean and tidy. The team even went the extra mile to replace all of the fixtures as well as complete the installment of a storm door for us at no extra cost. A job very well done and we are still amazed at the transformation.

I contracted Custom Concepts to do a complete remodeling of the outside of my house. I selected this company on the basis of its reputation as an elite preferred James Hardie Siding Contractor and the strong recommendation I received from my neighbor. Custom Concepts also offered the full range of services I needed for this job (siding, painting, electrical work, window installation, and gutter replacement). From my earliest discussions with Mike Swank in planning the project through subsequent implementation supervised by Danny Harper, the company exceeded all expectations. From the start of project execution, the work was carried out efficiently and on schedule. Juan, the highly skilled, professional on-site craftsman and crew supervisor did an outstanding job. The siding crew and painters were highly skilled and courteous - and they diligently cleaned the site at the end of every workday. Danny came to the site daily to ensure the work was going smoothly and to discuss any questions or finalize decisions. Customer service also was outstanding. Danny was always available by phone or called back usually within minutes, if I had any concerns, or to inform me of any schedule adjustments. If there was anything that needed his attention, no matter how small, he ensured that it was addressed as soon as possible. He also added very welcome improvements that were not in the original plan, and was particularly helpful in reviewing the punch list after the construction was completed. He immediately followed up on a few issues and even found some of his own. I am very pleased with the final product – my house looks great. I highly recommend this company.

Custom Concepts Construction did an outstanding job installing new James Hardie siding and trim, a new GAF roof, new exterior doors and new gutters on my house. They took an tired looking house from the 1970s and turned into the best looking house in the neighborhood. Several of my neighbors have complemented me on the new look. Custom Concepts Construction – an excellent company to do business with. We needed to replace the vinyl siding on our house with HardiePlank and had noticed the work that the Custom Concepts Construction team was doing on another house in town. The moment we contacted them we knew we had the right company. They immediately set up an appointment to meet with us and review our requirements, which included resolving siding issues on the back of the house made by a previous contractor. We received a detailed, line-item proposal – the sign of a company that knows what it’s doing. Communication is key in any renovation. As soon as we accepted the proposal the Custom Concepts team kept us apprised of the start date, various delivery dates, and of any issues they encountered during their work. As part of this project, we also replaced our front door which Custom Concepts ordered and installed – it was truly the icing on the cake. The entire project was handled professionally, and everyone we worked with on the Custom Concepts team was wonderful. Quality craftsmanship – a talent that seems to be hard to come by these days – and attention to detail is what we found with the Custom Concepts team. Custom concepts is the best contractor we’ve worked with. We have a 120 year old home and have undergone 10+ different renovation projects in the last year and a half. Custom concepts replaced our windows, gutters, downspouts, siding, trim, doors, balcony fence and aluminum roof dome, as well as painted our garage doors, deck other areas. The team was really phenomenal throughout the whole process. We will use them when we replace our full roof in the future. We recently used Custom Concepts to replace our masonite tudor panels with James Hardie. Custom Concepts exceeded our expectations with quality and customer service. Custom Concepts was the only certified James Hardie contractor that actually reviewed our project with the local James Hardie representative and ensured that the methodology they used for the tudor was in compliance with the standard required for the James Hardie warranty. This methodology was incredibly complex- Custom Concepts needed to actually cut the James Hardie Panels to allow for diagonal flashing in all of our tudor panel crossings- literally double (if not more) manual effort in to meet this spec. No other contractor was willing to put in this effort. Not only did custom concepts put in the effort, they did it at no extra charge to do it the correct way the first time. They were meticulous in the details- everything was literally perfect. Danny and Juan worked with us every step of the way. Danny never hesitated to answer all of our questions and spent so much extra time with us explaining the in's and out's of the siding methodology. Anything we asked for, Danny was willing to work with us. The team was prompt, completed the job on time, and the quality was superb. We would highly recommend Custom Concepts to anyone looking for a quality, customer- friendly company- in particular for a complex job such as ours.

Custom Concepts Construction, Inc. ( Jefferson, MD) has provided me with a well-deserved remodeling of my home. My forty year old house was in need of major renovations. I am a hands on homeowner. Custom Concepts are so wonderful from the initial interview to the final details of the construction completion. I had interviewed more than ten companies. There were none that had the expertise, quality, vision and incredible customer service that Custom Concepts had with years of tradition and experience. They were very in tune with best practices, material recommendations, and building regulations which were needed in my home renovation of the windows, siding, doors and roofing. They had the knowledge and skill to tackle this project that no other company had, for sure. Not only did they have great expectations but followed through to the completion of reconstruction. The time and patience developing a plan with Michael was impeccably detailed, from providing materials that would best fit my home construction needs and my desires for better quality products. There were suggestion for what may be potential changes to the project as we went through and during demolition and reconstruction of multiple aspects of renovation. The temperature has improved throughout the house making me so much more comfortable. The look of my home has more character and design due to Custom Concepts Construction’s (Jefferson, MD), vision. I am already enjoying the rest and relaxation from the fruits of Custom Concepts hard labor from the roof, siding (including supportive insulation), windows and doors. They worked around our schedule to visit the house and give us an estimate and they answered all our questions... and we had many as newbie homeowners. We had a project to replace our siding, windows and doors on our 27-year-old townhouse. From a recommendation of friends, and my research we wanted to use James Hardie fiber cement for the siding. We contacted, had site visits and received quotes from 3 contractors recommended by the James Hardie company. Michael from Custom Concepts Construction spent a lot time with us explaining their process, materials and a recommendation for us to install Beechworth Windows (a James Hardie company). The CCC proposal was by far the most detailed and extensive with a complete line item breakdown of materials and labor costs. Once all the details were settled I appreciated being able to sign the contract with a secure digital signature. All of the payments were also easily handled via email with Katherine. The project started on time and there were weather related delays (rainiest September in many years), but Danny was always in contact via text, email or phone to let us know if there were delays or not able to work on those days. During the project any questions for Mike, Danny or Katherine were always answered in a timely manner. The crew installing the siding, windows and doors were excellent. They worked efficiently, were pleasant to interact with, at the end of every work day cleaned and straightened up the site. They also worked on Saturdays to make up for some of the time lost due to the weather. At the end of construction Danny went over the small punch list of items we had and ended up adding a few items we either missed or felt were insignificant, but he wanted addressed. The house looks great and we could not have had a better experience with a contractor. We highly recommend Custom Concepts Construction.

I could not be happier with the transformation Custom Concepts did on my home. They took a 41 year old home that truly showed its age and made it look like a brand new home. Custom Concepts helped make the exterior of our house look completely different. We had ideas on how we wanted to change our 20+ year-old cedar siding and make it more craftsman-y looking. Michael came and offered some extra suggestions that really added to the appeal. We looked at five companies for our project and Custom Concepts were not the cheapest (but by far not the most expensive!) but they spent the longest amount of time with us really going through design options and making sure we understood the value in the materials and labor that was involved. That really helped rule out one of the other contractors who was coming in at a similar price but was going to use cheaper non-Hardie materials for some of the project areas. It could have left us in a potentially difficult situation with the Hardie warranty. Danny and his team worked long hours, literally sun up to sun down to get all the work finished. Danny checked up on the progress and gave us regular updates. They found issues with some of the work done by a previous contractor on our windows and fixed the problems they found. The team was always polite and happy to talk to us about what they were working on. We had surprisingly few issues but even those we did have (the front door getting lost!) were resolved with no effort on our part. I really can’t recommend Custom Concepts enough. It was a large project for us and they far exceeded our expectations, not only in terms of design assistance but in follow ups afterwards. We have had so many compliments on our house and we could not be happier.

Although we have a brand new home in Bethesda, the builders did not used a trained crew for Hardie siding. Redoing incorrect & poor work is the hardest task, but Mike at Custom Concepts has helped every step of the way so that our house is fixed correctly. EXCEPTIONAL customer service and craftsmanship! Like many others we had the best experience working with CCC. After doing tons of research online and meeting with 7 different companies for quotes we selected them because of the great price and level of expertise. Our project was large and consisted of all new James Hardie siding, 19 Marvin windows, 5 exterior doors, and a new screened porch with top-deck. Only complaint; they won’t do our interior projects too! But really they were so patient with us throughout the design process and didn’t bat an eye when we came up with changes along the way. Their crews were polite and very focused, the area was always left clean, they never cut corners and their dedication and skill shows. Everyone along the way went above and beyond the scope and left our house looking amazing. We are very happy with the finished project and have already recommended them to neighbors and co-workers.

From start to finish a great company to work with. Custom concepts answered all our questions and more- they anticipated and provided all aspects of the project and created exactly what we were looking for. Ours was not a standard window replacement- we needed someone to take out and rebuild our kitchen floor to ceiling bump-out window- to create a new updated look. Basically a new addition to our kitchen. They finished ahead of schedule and within our budget with quality products. Mike and Danny are top notch. My husband had extensively researched this project (roofing, windows, Hardi Plank siding, doors, gutters, gutter guards, some structural changes. Mike stayed with us for over a year-long series of endless questions (and revisions, and questions, and revisions...) from us and was extremely patient with modifying the estimate and explaining all our options. Danny managed the work and was tireless in ensuring it was done correctly and to his high standards and no detail was left untouched. The crew, including Pablo, Mario, Q and Choi were patient, careful and professional. Every day the site was cleaned up and safe for our kids to navigate as we entered and exited our home. When we encountered issues (as you would expect with a 1977 home built of dubious original construction quality), Danny recommended solutions that were reasonable and within budget. Our house is now beautiful and ready to last for the years to come. Inside it is so much quieter than it was (new windows, siding, adjustments to insulation, exterior envelope) and the temperature fluctuations that we had between levels are a thing of the past.

Custom Concepts did a great job right from the beginning. We met with Michael Swank, who was very knowledgeable about replacing windows, doors, and fascia board in an older home. The crew showed up on time and did a great job replacing windows, fascia board, sliding door in back, and front screen door in front. They used top-notch material and the workmanship is excellent. The workers were neat and courteous and we are thrilled with the final product.

Job included removal of old siding on 3 sides of large, 29 yr old, 2 story home and replacement with Hardy Plank siding and trim. Job necessitated significant tailoring of materials around windows bump outs, external faucets and 2 existing decks. The garage side of home was large and uninteresting. Staff helped us develop a creative siding design that we are very happy with. All staff were exceptionally skilled, professional and courteous. Job site was adequately protected and cleaned up each day. Overall, this was an exceptionally positive experience.

I have never had a better experience working with a contractor. Period. From the first meeting with Mike from Custom Concepts he instilled confidence in me, asking pertinent questions--including construction aspects I had not considered--and wrote detailed notes. He also explained a lot about the James Hardie fiber cement siding product and his company's dedication to following the manufacturer's recommended installation process. He was also the only one of three bidding contractors who presented their price quote in person with an incredibly descriptive and line-itemized estimate with a break out of materials and labor for each portion of the project. He even showed us a computer mockup image of our home with the siding and trim choices we made. This work was done on a 92-year old bungalow in January-February 2017. It was an exterior project that included replacing two layers of siding (aluminum and the original shake shingles) with Hardieplank lap siding and Hardie trim, as well as reconstructing the front porch with Azek tongue and groove planks and rebuilding the porch columns. Whenever complications arose (which were expected on a house this old with prior renovations including an addition) CCC was very clear in their explanations of the challenges and often provided options at various price points. Frankly, there probably wasn’t a plumb wall on this house but by the time Danny, the project manager, and Nick, the lead carpenter, put their heads together they found solutions to make our home look brand new. I want to add that their crew was courteous, organized and fastidious, even though weather and parking issues sometimes challenged them. It is rare to find a contractor that performs so well on price, quality and timeliness. From their affordable financing options to their well-defined communications and friendly, professional staff, everything ran smoothly despite the large scope of the project. My wife and I could not be more thrilled with the results and we love coming home to our beautiful “new” old house. In fact, we have recently engaged Custom Concepts for another project to renovate our backyard deck and construct a custom pergola so that the whole property would be complete. I would recommend this company for exterior renovations without any hesitation.

When surprises arose (as they always do on a major project), they communicated problems clearly and worked for quick, budge-friendly solutions. The quality of their work was top-notch in every way, and included demolition (interior and exterior), framing, siding, roofing, insulation, drywall, cabinet installations in bathrooms and kitchen, cleanup and misc. other projects that arose. We cannot recommend them highly enough and would turn to them again for any kind of major construction project we might undertake.

I hired Custom Concepts Construction to install a replacement roof on my single family home. Clifton spent a lot of time working with me to get a roof that exactly met my needs (part of the roof is low pitch and required extra protection) and I wanted to have a solar tube removed and an attic fan installed. The day before the install, the supplies were delivered and neatly stacked off to the side. The following day the roof installation crew arrived--they worked so swiftly and surely, and were able to replace the whole roof (~1900 sq. ft.), including replacement of all of the underlayment on the back portion of the roof, in a single day. The roof is gorgeous and it comes with a 20yr labor warranty, which is wonderful! Every member of the Custom Concepts team was very knowledgeable and courteous--I would strongly recommend them.

We had Custom Concepts replace half our roof, and replace the associated wood trim (of our brick house), and install new gutters. Mike visited with us a number of times to make sure we understood their products and services (answering all our questions) and Kat stayed in touch with us so we understood the financing (it was simple). The work crew was always timely and did the work in just a couple days; keeping the debris from the roof removal under control (there is always a few nails and roofing materials that get carried away by the winds we get - so as expected we did find a few nails and debris over the next week). During this work we even got a visit from Danny, the owner, to check how things were going. Very professional and great products - top notch all around. We plan to do the rest of the roof and trim in the coming year and it will definitely be with Custom Concepts Construction, Inc.

Custom Concepts did an awesome job, including having to redo some bad work done by another contractor. The crew was excellent - they were attentive to all details of the large project scope (James Hardie siding, soffits, gutters, capping the exterior trim of all windows with James Hardie trim, and rebuilding the front porch to make it look like it was not an add on), worked hard every day, and cleaned up at the end of each day. I'm very satisfied with the outcome - especially the transformation of our front porch into an inviting place to relax thanks to Custom Concepts.

Job I wanted done was a new roof, siding on the upper part of the house and a small remodel on the front porch. They workmanship they provided was outstanding and they were able to understand the change I wanted to have to make the add on flat roof from the previous owners to look more like it was a part of the house. Being there to talk with them, share thoughts and ideas, after all, there were things I didn't know about but do now. Everyone treated me professionally, always had a check in to be sure I was happy the way things were going. Job site was always neat and clean at the end of each day. We hired Custom Concepts to install Hardie Plank siding on our house. Throughout the process, we were impressed with the very knowledgeable and professional service we received. It was very important to us the the siding job be done properly to ensure we would receive the full James Hardie warranty. With many years of experience installing Hardie Plank, Custom Concepts gave us the confidence that the job would be completed properly. The installation crew was amazing to watch. They clearly took great pride in doing high-quality work and making sure even the smallest detail was attended to. The job was completed ahead of schedule and on budget. CCC removed my old cedar siding, (4000 sq, ft. 2 story) wrapped the house and garage in J. Hardie house wrap. trimmed all windows and doors, prepped all outlets, vents and other penetrations of exterior walls, installed ledgers for a future second floor deck, and resided the house in HardiPlank lap siding with ColorPlus surface coating. I picked this contractor out of three because, they were cost competitive, James Hardie trained, and Hardie designated as a warranty claim representative for them in this area. They demonstrated a knowledge of J. Hardie installation specifications superior to their competitors, thus giving better confidence any future product warranty claims would not be invalidated by incorrect installation. After having my previous cedar siding ruined by a painter whose preparation was so faulty the paint peeled in potato chip size peels, you might imagine I would be a very observant and skeptical purchaser for this residing contract. On top of that I'm an engineer with an understanding of construction techniques. Given all of that, let me begin by saying, it is difficult to rate this contractor highly enough in professionalism from a business and technical point of view, and in craftsmanship and work ethic displayed by the crew performing the tasks. They are as close to perfect in execution as I'll ever require. The complete team from top to bottom is clearly trained to pay attention to every detail from respecting customer's property by placing tarp to catch falling debris and cleaning up, to mitering corners to perfection, to fitting around power cables and the like, and to caulking every seam with a perfect finish. The customer is notified when the crew will be onsite or if there is to be a delay. The crew shows up on time, goes quietly about their work in a steady and obviously serious way. The crew is well equipped with the tools they need from quality pump jacks to air compressors, to hand tools. The production manager and job foreman frequently check in to ask, non-rhetorically, "Do you have any issues, questions or concerns?" In the rare case I had a question, they responded completely, demonstrating a respect for my opinion and judgement. This is a company that has figured it out, got it right, and will definitely be contacted for my future needs. It is a pleasure to find and work with such a professional company in the construction business.

I hired them to replace 5 windows. These guys were excellent from start to finish. The presentation was great but I was still skeptical about the work after I hired them. They eliminated my fears as we went further thru the process, they communicated with my HOA for approval and installed all windows with great work on time. I highly recommend them.

We hired Custom Concepts to do a deck job on a short timeframe. They did an excellent job, from A to Z. They handled the demo of the existing structure, got all the necessary permits quickly, got approval from the HOA of the community, coordinated times for construction with the tenants, and.... best of all, built a beautiful, safe, and value-enhancing deck on the back of our rental property. I can't say enough about how CCC handled this job so fluidly. I would gladly recommend them to anyone.

Custom Concepts installed Hardie Smooth Siding and Trim around all doors and windows. In addition, they installed several new windows and replaced several outdoor light fixtures. We were very impressed with the entire team from the detailed proposal to the final walk thru. They were helpful with color decisions and provided constructive advice in fixing some trim that we may have left as is. The project was well supervised and was completed in a timely manner. Custom Concepts was very professional and knowledgeable about Hardie siding and we are very happy with the completed project and how our house now looks.

Custom Concepts completed two projects for us. First they replaced 30+ year old cedar siding with Hardie fiber cement vertical panels. The second project was to replace three Velux skylights that were leaking. Both projects provided unexpected challenges; the siding project was challenged by an exceedingly harsh winter and the skylights by tricky diagnosis of the leaks. In both cases CCC worked tirelessly to bring the projects to a successful completion within budget and within a reasonable time frame. All personal were always helpful and available. Crews were on site when scheduled and clean up was exceptional. I would rate CCC 6 stars if that was an option.

From the initial consultation through the design and build stages, this firm exhibited thye highest degree of professionalism and competence. Changes we initiated were undertaken with minimal difficulty. I was particularly impressed by their skillful, respectful, and caring on-site workers, who made sure that the work space was properly cleaned on a daily basis. They coordinated creation of a screened in porch (from an existing deck) to match my already-standing screened in porch; they installed beautiful new french doors and electrical fixtures, and took down a wall between the kitchen and my family room, creating a "feels new" home. They installed a new roof, and when the roof over the new construction developed leaks during downpours (as they had warned me it might) they came back and made sure it was corrected. They were on time, their prices were excellent, and they were a pleasure to work with.

I previously have had Hardie installed on my addition and it was not installed properly. The office team is great to work with. Everyone is very polite and they answer emails promptly. Based on other estimates that I got for the above projects, I believe they are very competitive.

Custom Concepts were professional from the very beginning of our working relationship. The staff tended to my every need and were extremely curtious throughout the process. I enjoyed the payment options given and the fact that they took the time to review different products with me & my husband versus choosing the most expensive items. The personel also worked with our schedules. The windows we had installed did take a little longer than expected however they were done right so in the end this was worth more to me than the time.
