Excellent work on our backyard. The owner and workers are very professional. They worked during the winter and did a fantastic job. Very detail-oriented and great taste! We used composite for the fence. We are looking forward to doing the deck soon!

City Decks NY installed decking on my 145 square foot terrace using fiberon decking, and I highly recommend their services for this type of work. The quality of work is superb and the job was very meticulously done with an eye to detail, on a short timeline. I wish I had called them sooner. I now have a deck to enjoy for the whole summer and for decades to come. Anthony and his staff were professional, kind, and patient with all of my questions. Anthony brought samples and visited my space to advise on options. Once on-site for the project itself, they were careful to not leave any mess outside of the building, inside my tiny studio (a logistical challenge!), or on the terrace itself. They worked around all of my planters and grill and to my surprise none of the stuff needed to be stored inside. The work took place over two weekends but only took two days – accurate to the original estimate – on account of weather. Anthony and his crew did a great job of building out two decks for us: an ipe deck over an existing steel frame in our backyard and a composite deck over a small roof patio. Their work was professional, timely and the mess was limited. They did a great job of cleaning up after themselves and moved quickly from start to finish. Anthony has been very responsive to any additional questions we had and even came back to give us some advice as to how to treat our ipe fence (that he did not install and that our GC did not treat correctly upon installation). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend City Decks NY.

This company is great, they came to my house for a meeting the information that they provided was so enlighting and free of charge, the proposal response was quick and the process to build our deck was theral, pricing is right for what we built. We are enjoying our deck now and I am glad I call them. Thank you Anthony for the free planter box.

My wife and I had such a pleasant experience with City Decks, they designed and built a nice 600 Sq Ft IPE wood deck, it included planter boxes, they also built a nice 8'x5' Pergola that we use for shade. Every phase from initial meeting, design phase to completion was smooth ride, I love the attention to detail in their work and great communication all throughout the project. I recommend them highly.

My complaint is not reflective of their ability to build decks. I asked them to add an extension to my garage and City Decks did such a terrible job. (It's my fault for trying to find an inexpensive solution). The roof leaked and on top of that I had an engineer come and tell me the extension was structurally hazardous and could fall any time. Originally the gentleman in charge of the job(will remain nameless because I don't want to be a complete jerk), worked with me to repair the roof, and then when it still was leaking, hire an independent roofer. This turned out to be even worse for the scenario. The roof became more heavy with 3 layers of materials and still was leaking into the insulation. I then had to deal with my loss and hire another company to fix the job. I lost about 10,000 because of bad judgement. But still a responsible company no matter who they are should never take a job that they are incapable of building properly. I'm sure City Decks can do wonderful things, but I wouldn't trust them with anything that has a roof, or is load bearing.

Anthony and City Decks built a small roof deck for us. We needed it completed in time for an event, and much to our delight his team made this happen. They gave us excellent advice in terms of materials and design, and we couldn't be happier with our deck. I highly recommend them. Their approach, execution and recommendation were all top-notch.

I had a very positive experience with City Decks. From sketches I provided, they built a 15' x 15' ipe 'platform' deck (i.e., less than a foot high) with integrated planters and fencing---see photo. (Unfortunately, I don't have any recent photos immediately available to upload to this review---just this older one. I do believe that Anthony from City Decks may have some better photos, if you are a prospective client that would find them helpful for reference.) Anthony and his team were great. I found them to be easy-going and hard-working---and VERY skilled at working with ipe, which is an extremely dense and heavy wood to work with. The best part, at least for me, was that they accommodated changes along the way, and took the time to inform me of any installation or design issues that came up. And they were also very comfortable accommodating my perfectionist nature! In the end, I recommend City Decks wholeheartedly and without hesitation.

I've used City Deck three times for various jobs and have found them extremely professional. The work looked great and was performed in a timely manner. I definitely plan to use them again.

I have hired City Decks not once but twice because they are so good. They have built two beautiful decks for me in Manhattan and have been reasonably priced, wonderful to work with, and are very conscientious hard workers. Anthony is flexible and accommodating, making changes at the last minute when I had new ideas for the design. He is great at returning phone calls and is easy to communicate with. They leave the work site tidy and clean at the end of every day and the entire experience, which could have been miserable because of the need to remove bags of dirt and plants from an existing deck through the apartment, was pleasant and without worry. I highly recommend them.
