“We converted walk-in closets into an en-suite and hired a contractor we have worked with several times before. There are a few details still to do - but the project is almost complete. THE TECHNICAL STUFF: This small space looks simple but is quite complex - it contains heated towel bar, solar tunnel for natural light, Toto toilet (tank in wall) and Toto sink and all HansGroghe components (can't say enough about those). The mirror and fan are integrated to run together on a timer (so they don't get left on). The 2-person shower contains 6 body jets, two showers and (coming soon) a large overhead rain shower with coloured LED lights. Also needed were all the water systems for pressure/heating capacity for a 10 gpm shower plus rest of home (NOT compatible with on-demand water heaters and significant cost to get Polaris water heater with high heat rate and two insulated hold tanks with circulating pump to keep whole thing heated - so going multi component shower route adds extra investment of at least 10K to do this). The pride and joy of this bathroom for me as the homeowner is the heated floor which seamlessly goes into the shower. No unsightly shower pans or metal door tracks. THE CONTRACTOR: Sean made all this complexity a reality. He is a truly versatile, highly technically competent contractor and CRAFTSMAN in the true sense of the word. He brings with him a long family history of home-building and takes significant pride in his work and satisfaction of the customer. He is continually researching the latest engineering materials and attaining licensed installer certs. He will do all plumbing, electrical, carpentry etc (one stop shop) however, he also knows when to consult with a plethora of equally talented construction specialists (electricians, engineering firms, wood finishers, old Italian tile gurus : ). All permits and engineering drawings are always obtained. This contractor is phenomenal and I would recommend him for any project large or small. He is very respectful of clients requirements and will recommend the right solutions for your level of need. His drywall is perfection! Oh and he is very very diligent about cleaning up and minimizing mess - which is thoughtful and respectful of your home.”
