We worked with Sarah Slaughter at Texas Oven Co. to help us with our Forno Bravo wood fired oven. Sarah was great to work with! She helped us pick the right size oven, design the outside structure of the oven, ordering and shipping, installation, curing, and many other questions along they way. We had quite a few questions throughout the process and Sarah was always very helpful in responding to us. I recommend Texas Oven Co. for anyone considering installing a wood fired oven. They were great!

From the moment we began considering the creation of an outdoor oven, we knew we wanted it to be connected with our home and the Texas hill country. Dave and Sarah were amazing from the first moment I met them. They were able to develop a design that incorporated both the materials that were consistent with our home but also with the vision that we had. The oven has transformed the outdoor space into a true entertaining venue. Dave and Sarah were professional and quick to return emails and calls, were open to ideas, and extremely knowledgable about the mechanics of the oven. It was clear that they are experts in this craft. The work quality exceeded our every expectation. The oven came in on time and on budget.

I can not express how grateful I am to have discovered The Texas Oven Company. I had an idea for an outdoor kitchen, but zero experience or know-how. I gave Sarah a call, and immediately, I knew I called the right place. Her enthusiasm and patience gave me peace of mind and confidence that although I knew next to nothing about wood burning ovens, I was going to have something world class when I was done. And I was right! Sarah blew me away with her knowledge of ovens, and by the end we picked exactly the right oven for our space. I would have given five stars if it ended with Sarah, but then I met Dave, who is the absolute best in the business. He is the craftsman, mason, carpenter, artist, etc. etc. He helped me solve all of the engineering problems we encountered with beautiful solutions. At this point I wish there was a way to give more than 5 stars. To put a cherry on top, Sarah supplied me with all of the essential cooking tools that I needed, and Dave came over and cooked for a dinner party, to show me how to use my oven. We got 110% return on the initial investment from that first meal Dave cooked for us. If you have the option to work with The Texas Oven Co., it is a no-brainer! You can’t go wrong, and likely your expectations will be exceeded.

Our Pizza Oven is a work of art and the best thing we included in our kitchen! Dave is one of the only contractors we would recommend after building our home. Highly recommend him!

I am extremely pleased with the work that Dave and his crew from Texas Oven Co. did. I had a repair that required them to totally disassemble the slate facade to our oven. They made the repair, and completely refaced the stone facade to it's original condition. It looks as good as new, you'd never knew they took it down. In addition, they also recoated the stucco all around the oven and attached base. The oven looks and works great again. Their prices were very reasonable, they cleaned up everything afterwards. Great people all around to work with. Highly recommended!!

I was fortunate enough to find Texas Oven Co. when planning an outdoor kitchen project. Sarah was great, answering all of my questions and sending me additional photos. Dave worked with my landscape architect, Joe Cross of Land Flo, to implement Joe's design. Dave also worked with my contractor, Tim Bobo, to make sure that all aspects of the outdoor kitchen were taken into consideration. The finished product is beautiful and I'm very pleased.

Dave installed a wood burning oven in our backyard last year during an extensive remodeling project. From beginning to end, we had a terrific experience and Dave exceeded all of our expectations. He was incredibly easy to work with, flexible, creative and just a whole lot of fun to be around. We have been using the oven for almost a year now and we couldn't be happier with the both the aesthetics and function of our oven. The entire family, including our three teenagers, use the oven weekly to cook family dinners, feed large groups of guests and just generally enjoy it's lovely ambience. It has truly become the focal point of our home. If you are thinking of installing a wood burning oven I would encourage you to do it right away...and to hire Dave to do it! You won't regret it.

I needed a commercial size brick oven for a niche bakery and pizzeria I'm building. After some research of my options I decided to go with Texas Oven co. In Austin. They were a joy to work with and Dave is a true professional and Sarah handled all the administrative details flawlessly. I've been using my oven for 3 years and it has worked exactly as I had hoped. If you are in the market for a wood fired oven I highly recommend them.

Texas Oven Company has been wonderful to work with. I am probably not a typical client for them. I live in a different city and I am completing the installation myself. I am just purchasing the oven through Texas Oven Co. They have been very accommodating answering all of my questions regarding installation. I think they have been extraordinarily helpful. They seem genuinely happy that I am purchasing a WFO and want to make sure I am a happy customer. I highly recommend them.

I have hired Dave and Texas Oven Co. for custom built wood fire ovens on two occasions (my previous and current residences). He is quite simply the best in the business. From planning, to site prep, to masonry, to follow-up, Dave and TOC are complete professionals throughout. Most importantly, Dave's ovens are a work of art and so much fun to cook in. After having one, you realize how versatile they are and also how great they are for entertaining. A day/night cooking in one brings out so many great things - nature, physical labor, culinary skill, social interaction, some chemistry and physics and a whole lot of joy. These are not just a backyard item that you will never use (hopefully). Dave's ovens put you on a course of food preparation that harkens back to our ancestors.
