“We can not see enough positive things about Janet. Before hiring her we had hired three previous designers for the construction of our home. She was the first that we felt was engaged in the home building process. From the start, she was detailed, understood our vision, and communicated her thoughts succinctly to us and the various vendors that were used for the construction. She even assisted us with our builder when they were being unreasonable or needed guidance. She was a pleasure to work with, as she answered texts and emails in a timely manner. Some unique things about Janet is that she has the technical skills of an architect since her father was one for many years and while having impeccable taste she understands when she is assisting in finding that perfect piece of furniture, art etc the price should be taken into account. Furthermore, once the relationship was established she would deftly suggest an alternative when she disagreed with our choice in the most pleasant way that allowed us to trust her in the future. Janet definitely made our house a home that reflects our style. We will continue referring her to our friends without hesitation. If you would like a stylish, caring, and professional designer that leaves her ego behind you could not find anyone better!”

“We had a very difficult room to furnish, with odd proportions. Out taste is contemporary, but the house was built in 1923. Beverly was amazing! She quickly solved all our design dilemmas and created a space that we truly love. She is a true talent; able to listen to what clients want, and come up with design that goes beyond expectation. “We called Interiors by Kate to remodel 4 rooms; a living room, a dining room, a laundry room, and a play room for our son. In a short period of time, Kate had a sense for our style by simply asking a few questions and ask us to choose pictures of rooms that we liked. This was helpful because, while we had a sense for what we were looking for, we couldn't articulate exactly what we wanted. We travel a lot and were not always thinking about the project. Kate struck a nice balance of keeping us on task without being annoying or pushy. What we appreciated the most was that Kate was willing to shop for us and bring back items to try out in-house. Whatever we didn't like, she would return. This is probably the biggest reason why we were able finish our project. I would highly recommend Interiors by Kate, LLC.”
