After 25 years when a glue joint came apart on the hand rail they were more than happy to complete the repair in a timely manner and did an outstanding job. Century Stair (Doug, Miguel, Alán) did a fine job fabricating and installing a straight run of shop-built stairs to replace the worn out site-built stairs to my basement. Doug was great with communications. Delivery and installation went off without a hitch, and in one day I had a fine replacement for a long-term irritation.

I recently hired Century Stairs to install floating stairs in my home, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! We worked with Century Stair on a custom staircase as part of a larger renovation project. Doug Amrhein was responsive and knowledgeable from start to finish. He patiently worked through design and material choices with us and was onsite and involved throughout the installation process to make sure the job ran smoothly. Even once the stairs were installed, Doug was quick to work with his team to get us any additional needed information, such as certain measurements for finish work. The stairs are now a wonderful focal point of the house.

We did a search for a company to build a staircase for our new home build and were very impressed with the staircase images we found for Century Stair. We worked with Doug Amrhein to design an open custom oak floating staircase. Doug walked us through all the details and discussed all the options with us. He worked with us to do a few different quotes to figure out the best options for our budget and style. We would definitely work with Century and Doug again. I am delighted to post this review of my recent experience with Century Stairs. As a recently retired general contractor of forty years, I have worked with hundreds of suppliers and fabricators; I can confidently report that Century Stairs was equal to the very best of all of them. My project was to create a permanent staircase to a finished attic in my newly-purchased “downsized” home that was accessed by an inadequate pull-down, folding stair. Because space would be limited, even after creating a new and enlarged ceiling opening, a unique design was necessary that would still meet applicable building codes, and a custom fabrication would be necessary. Based largely on my prior work with Century, their commitment to my timeframe, and their realistic/competitive pricing, I decided to contract with them over several other local stair fabricators. The planning and design process with their sales manager Brett was fantastic – professional, personal, and prompt. They were easily able to translate my drawings into their CAD system, and were more than willing to make my adjustments, to both the design and the dimensions, before the plans were finalized. But most importantly, my custom oak, free-standing, open-tread “ship’s ladder” staircase was delivered on time, in perfect condition, and exactly as specified. As we all know, when there are so many variables involved, such a result is not always the case. But with their exceptional resources and customer communication processes, I believe that such results are the rule, not the exception. And as an exclamation point, Brett accommodated several iterations of handrails to complete the job. I could not be more pleased with my decision to choose Century for my project, and believe others will come to the same conclusion.

He supplied us with quality stairs and railings for a 3 story residential home. The materials were top-notch and the service was excellent. The team at Century Stairs was amazing to deal with through the entire process! We have a turret in our house and I hadn't really formalized my concept for the stairs so I looked on line for ideas and sent a picture to Amanda [estimator], who in turn worked up a reasonable price with Jeff [boss] and after accepting their proposal, I was assigned a field rep [Brett] who was my go2 and then we began the process. What I really appreciated was the teams eagerness to help me achieve the vision - again, these stairs were very difficult to engineer and install but they were there with us every step of the way. They gave me lots of different options for the balusters and pickets, they were flexible with our schedule and forgiving when things didn't go as planned. The handrail installer was amazing too - he came in and worked his magic like nothing I'd ever seen before. In today's marketplace where customer service seems to be lagging and you are often treading water rather than swimming when building a house, Century Stairs gave me the life preserver I needed to get those stairs installed the way I wanted them. I am eternally grateful!
