I would steer clear of this company and look at other European flush door brands. We placed a large order of oversize flush doors. It was represented as a German brand but they were manufactured in Greece. The jambs were supposed to arrive in a matte finish but came high gloss powder coat. The jambs were missing for one of the doors and the company would not replace, they said a replacement would cost us more than the entire door assembly. They also shipped the wrong mounting clips for all of the doors which we did not notice till we started installing, it then took a couple of weeks to get the correct clips further delaying our project. For such an expensive door the customer service is subpar.

This client Michael Kramer in San Francisco was requested to pay for a replacement part he reported missing several months after delivery. He did not provide any photographic evidence of the missing frame, which is delivered pre-milled and pre-assembled with our doors. Kramer fabricated much of the details in his reclamation above and chose to take his gripe public instead of admitting his failure to abide by our general business conditions, which are standard in the door industry. It is not acceptable to claim a missing part 3 months after delivery, after installing 11 of the 12 doors received, and then suddenly claiming something is missing on the LAST door. His ridiculous comment about our doors being made in Germany is weird. As anyone can read on our website, our doors are assembled in Greece and contain parts from Italy, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Insensation is in business since 28 years, has over 8500 professional clients, and has only received this single bad review in 28 years because Mr. Kramer does not read his contracts. We have a wealth of very pleased large clients in San Francisco.

We are very happy with the frameless door system. It was very efficient to have a standardized system for installing flush doors and allowed us to use some details that the project might have otherwise not been able to afford. We learned a few things that will be useful next time around but there will certainly be a next time!

Even after intensive research, I couldn't find any door company that sells the doors I wanted (Floor to ceiling doors, one mirrored on both sides and another lacquered) at reasonable prices. When I finally found this company and met Jahni and Richard, I was so excited and I knew my search was over. The doors look so beautiful, clean and chic and love them so much. Thanks Insensation for bringing sophisticated European designs to the US.

We had a really positive experience purchasing our custom 9ft tall frameless hinged and pocket doors from Insensation Inc, for our home renovation project in West Village. Insensation was insightful, available and ready to offer guidance and help with our purchase both before and during construction. Great selection of clean, beautifully designed, high quality doors and products. I have yet to see a construction project that goes off without at least one glitch, and when we were in the thick of our, Insensation was there and willing to assist with the product in any way that they could. They were super responsive, and completely accommodating--which was really appreciated as it allowed us to stay on our tight construction schedule. When we found Insensation’s aluminum and glass staircase, we knew we had found the perfect staircase to feature in The 2017 New American Home (TNAH). The metal and glass materials complemented the modern design of TNAH and we liked that Insensation could build a custom “reflecting” staircase based on our design and measurements. We placed the staircase in front of a floor to ceiling window to create an architectural element visible from the street. We chose the illuminated treads that look crisp during the daylight and provide an elegant glow in the evenings. Guests who toured the home were “WOWed” by the uniqueness and beauty of the staircase. Preen, Inc.

We LOVE our Grahl stair from Insensation...it's gorgeous. We have the machined aluminum version that resembles an airplane wing and we're using it as roof access. The alum is great for those times we leave the sliding skylight open and it gets rained on...no rust. The lack of weight is good too...my framer and I were able to install it with just the two of us. Awesome option for a retrofit when you don't want to add excessive weight. Beautiful, beautiful object.
