IronWood Connection

Went under contract with this company in May. It is now July and what was supposed to be a 3 week project is still not complete! They have left my stairs half way done. Loose hand rails, no railing on walls, no railing on some of the glass panels they installed. I am having so much trouble in getting this company to complete my project. I have been in contact with their VP asking and asking for their warranty on their work and he will not return emails or texts! Given the many problems with parts being delayed and poor quality of work that has been done thus far all I want is for them to warranty their work and complete my project in a professional manner! I would not choose this company if I could change my decision two months ago! Do not be sold a dream by their sales person Bill if what you want is a modern glass railing project! They have no experience with glass stairs! I have proof on all of this if it will help anyone out when making their decision on their next stair project.

This company is a racket! First off the sales pitch is fantastic - professional and thorough. Once you sign the contract, the disaster begins. They change dates, arrive three hours late, don’t come back. Mathew job was sort of done after the third attempt and they left a bunch of holes in the wall that were never repaired, holes that was due to the installers poor measuring. One day job took three weeks. Billing is as if nothing happened and their invoice says they have moved. Do not trust, I regret the whole nightmare experience.

We had an appointment scheduled for an installer to come repair issues from the original installation performed by IronWood Connection. On the day of the scheduled appointment, the office called me about one after I had been waiting stating that the installer was not able to make the appointment. I was very confused as to why as they were the ones who set the appointment day and time but had to reschedule. The young lady even let me know that she did not know why he could not make the appointment indicating it did not seem to be an emergency. I scheduled the (2nd) appointment in the morning timeslot for Thursday, three days later. The time frame given was 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Yet again, I made arrangements to be home at the scheduled time. The morning passed and no installer had arrived to the appointment nor had I received a call. Around 12:15 PM, I called the office to inquire what was going on as I had other things to do as well. She said she would call me back. When calling me back she informed me that the installer was on his way but would still be another 30 minutes. About 45 minutes later, the installer arrived. Upon his arrival, he was very rude and unprofessional. He did not introduce himself at all, he was very abrupt and short with me in conversation, as well as did not even apologize or comment on the fact of him being so late. Very dissatisfied with the professionalism and work performed.

Worked with Brian Cummings to remodel our entry staircase. Excellent job. Completed as promised...well actually even more elegantly than I imagined. What are you waiting for? Call these guys!

A year gone bad made an amazing comeback the day my husband and I found an IronWood Connection brochure on the soon-to-be staircase of our dream home in the Spanish Oaks subdivision in Austin. It was a day I'll never forget, connecting with Jim Prado after he made his rounds into our neighborhood to meet with homeowners in the sheetrock phase. Our original builder went bankrupt, leaving us with an unfinished home and a depleted budget to continue. Jim Prado answered the phone when we called to discuss our non-existent budget for a wrought iron staircase in what was supposed to be our forever home. He listened, and he came to meet with us on site at his earliest convenience. From there, Jim promised us a staircase that would increase the value of our home substantially. Boy, did the IronWood Connection over-deliver!!!!! To say that the staircase is a statement piece in our foyer is an understatement. We call it the "Stairway FROM Heaven"! Jim introduced us to the Austin location General Manager, Chase Price, who has held our hands through the entire process, making the selection and installation perfectly seamless and efficient. Chase and his wife Kimberly are new parents, yet carved out the time to meet with us to go over every detail, they provided diagrams and designs for our approval to ensure our ultimate satisfaction. The install team was friendly! Clean! Organized! Efficient! To say they went above and beyond every step of the way sounds so cliche, but it is the honest truth. Without Jim and Chase, our dream-turned-nightmare has become one of our greatest blessings. We can't wait to take every single family photo with our children and someday with our grandchildren! This Staircase From Heaven means so much more to us than just access to the upstairs in our home. It is a sign of grace, blessings, kind people, exceptional service, hard work, commitment and dedication....and a constant reminder that there are good people in this world who truly care! Of all the experiences my husband and I have endured on this journey as custom built homeowners, our relations with IronWood Connection has been the most positive! GO with IronWood!!!!!

Ironwood did an awesome job replacing dysfunctional and awkward spiral staircase with a beautiful oak staircase with iron balusters! It looks like it has always been there! The creativity and craftsman ship is the best!

Overall; my experience using Ironwood Connection was great! We contacted the company and within days we had someone come out for a bid. Our job was done that following week. Our stairs had carpet on them and were enclosed by 2 half walls. We got wood stairs and both walls were removed/replaced with wood banisters and iron railings. It makes our space look so much bigger and lets in 10 times more light. I love the final look. Even better we were given 3 days estimate from start to completion for our job and it ended up taking 1 day. They had 2 guys working on it from 10 am -6:30 pm. This worked out great because we ended up saving on having to board our dog. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because I didn't realize drywall repair were not included. I will be upfront and say that it was disclosed in the contract but this was my first time doing any project to my house. It wasn't discussed in our walk through for the bid and I didn't know what to ask. So on both sections where the walls were cut I need to have someone else come out to fix/patch up those areas so the studs are not visible. Other than that I've very pleased. P.S. We obtained two bids for a new stair rail in a townhouse we are modernizing. We selected Ironwood because of the large style selection. The two bids were similar in price. I was very pleased with the promptness of getting the installation scheduled. The Installer was a real craftsman. We needed a large bend in the top rail to conform with the balcony design and he was able to fabricate the rail on site. He also found a problem in the original balcony construction (out of level) and he was able to compensate for this issue. Deadlines were met; the cost was competitive and the craftsmanship was excellent.

IronWood Connection always has great products and customer service! This is our go-to for all things stairs and ironwork. Delivery service is always on point.

My new home built by Ashton Woods had IronWood install the staircase. The work was great at the first minus the fact the installers glued all the rake shoes down instead of using the set screws and left glue on parts. Later in the build other trades damaged the volute by ramming it with a roll of carpet and someone else left scrapes on some of the railings. Ashton Woods had IronWood return to fix the issues but the return work was very shoddy. The new volute they installed was not square with the stairs and the balusters were leaning forward on the volute. Now that I own the home I called IronWood to get a quote on replacing every bit of the staircase with hickory wood and a different look since there were issues with it but IronWood told me that since they had to return some many times to my home to work on this staircase they would pass on any other work. It's for the best they turned the work down. I haired another local company and couldn't be happier with the results.

Just completed the installation of new stair railings in our home. Selected IronWood Connection to do the job. Could not be more pleased. They were prompt with setting an appointment (not so with others) and Chase came to our home as scheduled. He had lots of information, good ideas, answered my questions and thanked me for the opportunity to look at the project I had a quote (which I thought was reasonable in about 24 hours) and the project was scheduled in less than a week. The crew showed up on time, went right to work and did a fantastic job. They were professional and obviously knew what they were doing from the time they walked in the door. Project was finished in less than a day and the new railings exceed our expectations. And, the attentional to detail is exceptional. Clean up was equally impressive. I had dreaded this project and was ready for lots of problems but it simply could not have gone better. Chase, Tiffany in the office, the delivery man and the installation crew were all first rate. I would recommend IronWood Connection in a heart beat. So happy with our new stairs.

We hired Ironwood Connection to do a full remodel of the stairs in our 24 year old spec home. The General Manager came out, patiently discussed ideas, gave recommendations, and helped us pick out the specific components of the new staircase. They provided a bid within two days, and gave a couple of options (and pricing) for different wood species we had an interest in. We decided on the specifics, gave them the go-ahead, called and spoke to two references they provided, signed the contract, and got on their schedule. Their installers were out the following week, and took only two days to complete the job. Their installers were highly professional, and meticulous in their work - I work out of my home so was there the entire time. They also recommended a finishing/painting contractor who is currently finishing that part of the project. It all turned out beautifully, and they were easy to work with. Highly recommend.

My husband and I looked for the finishing touch to our front gate for almost 6 month before we finally decided that we wanted wrought iron panels. After speaking with Ironwood and looking at their remodel gallery, we were dead set on having them custom remodel our gate. A few days after we hired them, our gate had been finished and we could not be happier.

Ironwood Connection shipped me around 50 balusters from their Versatile series. I ordered the single sphere, double sphere, and plain bar in the hollow Ash Grey. They look incredible, and were actually cheaper to ship and easier to install that the solid balusters.

They came by my home about a week ago and quoted me for my front and side staircases. The price was really reasonable for the amount of material I needed installed, and the products are amazing.

I have been in the stair industry for years. I usually order parts online, but i came across Ironwood and thought I would give them a try. I ordered about 40 balusters from their Tuscan square series. I was so impressed when I received the parts. I did not expect them to be such high quality. Overall, I'm really glad I found them, and I will definitely order again.
