Our recent home renovations made our staircase look dated. Martinez Stair Company completely transformed it. Taro came, carefully listened to what we wanted to accomplish. We had a photo of our dream staircase- simple, sleek, contemporary. What we had was twists, turns and awkward drop offs of white washed oak handrails and spindles. We were going from carpeted stairs to hardwood covered stairs. During demolition, Taro and assistant Carlos were careful in their attempts to minimize dust and debris. A new wall was constructed. Wood was magically formed and curved into sweeping handrails. I had concern about the height of one of the handrails that had already been installed. Taro's pleasant nature never changed. Instead, he said it was great that I brought it to his immediate attention and changed the height of the entire handrail. Your concerns are important to Taro and he does want you to be happy with his work. Taro is very busy and it might take a while to get him scheduled. Once he is on your job, he is there every day. He starts at 7:30 each morning and you can set your watch by his arrival. He eats a quick lunch on site, he does not leave the job until the work day ends. We also had Taro do our mouldings and baseboards. Taro's finish work is that of a fine artisan carpenter- exacting and meticulous. When guests walk in, its the stairs they see first and it's always, “oh, wow”!! We are absolutely thrilled and delighted.

Taro and Co, did and out standing job on my staircase we are very, very happy with there service!! Taro took the time to lesson to what or vision was and spent several hours with my wife going over each detail, making sure he understood exactly what she wanted, and honestly this was a huge factor in retaining his services. Taro understood our budget constants and worked with us to achieve the finished product we were looking for at a budget we could afford. Taro and crew, were friendly, punctual and took the time to keep the job area as clean as possible while working. I have had mixed experience with contractor over the past few months, most of them lack the professionalism, attention to detail and punctuality Taro and crew brought to this project. I am going to hire Martinez Stair Company agian in the near future to do some other finish carpentry for me. My only regret is i didn't find Taro and Company sooner.
