RailingCo
Borough of Queens, NY Stair and Railing Contractors
“RailingCo installed a stylish stair rails in our home last month. They offered the most unique and beautiful stair railing system that I was able to find for such affordable price. It is very easy to clean, just wipe it with a wet rag. We also get a lot of compliments for its design.
I would highly recommend this company, installation was fast, their team was knowledgable, and we would most definitely hire them again.”

Marty Anderson & Associates
Borough of Queens, NY Stair and Railing Contractors
“I have recommended Mary Anderson to many people. We live in a city row house and have used him to restore three flights of stairs, build and install book cases, build custom radiator covers and window seats and, my personal favorite, built a custom art desk and shelves for me. He is very responsive to a client's requirements, makes helpful suggestions, is realistic with deliverable dates and the finished product will be sure to please.”

“Mike Williams did a fabulous job designing the stairs for our contemporary home. The stairs are beautiful as well as durable, and have become the design centerpiece of my home. Mike was patient during the design process and provided very many options and overall guidance. He helped us make a good decision and followed through every step of the way. I could not recommend Ascend and Mike any more highly.”

“Legacy took a difficult job and created a practical yet beautiful solution for our home in Colts Neck. We researched many stair manufacturers from the cheap to the very expensive and Legacy proved to have that optimal mix of quality at value. Additionally the support staff in the office were always solution oriented and very helpful. Overall I would highly recommend Legacy.

Wood Stairs 4U, LLC

“We hired Rodrigo to replace a not-so-nice looking balcony and staircase railing that was an original developer style. He came when he said he would come and got the job done as planned. The final product is beautiful and we thought the price was very fair.”

American Stair and Rail Artisans
Borough of Queens, NY Stair and Railing Contractors
“We bought an old house in Asbury Park, NJ which had a very old railing that had fallen apart in a lower section and was missing entirely at the top of the stairs. The rest of the railing, probably built in the 1930's, was still intact and in great shape with some very attractive simple details. We wanted to do our best to keep the original railing and match it as best we could.
After having SEVERAL other contractors tell us that the railing couldn't be matched, or just refusing to do the job because it wasn't "big" enough... we finally got a very reasonable estimate from American Stair & Rail... and had a good impression of Peter who estimated the job. He seemed knowledgeable and offered lots of suggestions about how we could possibly widen the railing in places where it was too narrow to move furniture upstairs.
We couldn't be more pleased with the final results... American Stair matched the spindles of the original staircase PERFECTLY and even the hand rail which others told us couldn't be matched. Bob, who did the carpentry work, is a true craftsman. I never thought they would have been able to make the rickety part of the railing sturdy again, but now it's as sturdy as a mac truck!
The only thing that American Stair & Rail couldn't do (and they were up front about this from the very first estimate) was match the newel post caps which look like they were originally made custom for our staircase. But even then, Rene and Susan bent over backwards to try to find a good match... and when it couldn't be done, they provided us with all new matching caps for the whole staircase, and also gave us some suggestions for millworkers in case we ever wanted to have custom matching caps made at a later time.
American Stair and Rail represents the type of old school artisans and family-style run businesses that are unfortunately all too rare these days. I HIGHLY recommend them.”
