Eagle Stone was great at assisting me with stone for my fireplace. I was new to this process and I was completing my project myself so I was soaking in their knowledge and suggestions. They allowed me to take home samples and view them in my own home. My fireplace turned out beautifully and I am so excited about the project that I completed. The only issue I had with this project was the measuring and deciding how much stone I needed to complete the project. I relied on them to assist with this. I brought my measurements and the measurements included the size on the gas fireplace that was already in place and I was stoning around. The woman assisting me looked over my measurements and gave me a price. I asked about deducting the fireplace area from the total needed but she stated they don't usually deduct that area. Being new at this I accepted her advice. I had a box and a half left over and when I returned the one box (that was unopened) she stated that they will have to go through the box and make sure all of the stone was there and that a credit would not be credited until they have the time to go through it. The next day I had to call them and they stated they would be giving me a credit minus the 20% restocking fee. This is was only a small amount of money but the reason I had a whole box left over was because the employee told me they don't deduct the fireplace area from the project. I feel that they took advantage of my lack of knowledge. Live and learn!

I am sorry that you felt that we took advantage of you. I can assure you that we would never intentionally do that or want a customer to feel that way. It is our company standard to recommend ordering a little extra so that you have choices of stones to pick from when installing. There are many variables to an installation job and we never know the complete scope of how cuts will need to be made, and how much waste there will be, etc. We want everyone to have enough material to cover the area without having to come back and get another box to finish. It does state at the bottom of every invoice that if you do have material to return that there is a 20% restock fee and that the return must be approved.
So glad you were happy with the finished project!

Eagle Stone has helped us create our stone work on three different projects. Our fire place in our home, our desk office at our old location and now three desks at our new location. They made sure we had enough materials to complete the projects without any money wasted on extra materials. They were able to answer any questions without hesitation. The ordering process was simple and easy, which made for one less thing to stress over during a new build or remodel.

Eagle Stone has been amazing to work with. They were very helpful in helping me to know my options, as well as offer me a competitive price. They even sent me pictures of houses with the stone I was interested in to help me make my final decisions. They are very knowledgeable in all areas of the business, even enough to educate me to help me know I was making decisions I'm comfortable with and pointed out helpful pros and cons of ideas I had. Overall, they did everything they could to help me to be sure I was happy with my decision - I couldn't have asked for more. I highly recommend them and would use them again if another need arises.

We purchased stone through Eagle Stone for a retaining wall project and the customer service couldn't have been better. When we were a few stones short, they were able to provide us with a short order to finish up our project. Next we are dreaming up a fireplace surround replacement! We will be calling Eagle Stone!
