Ideal Landscape Maintenance & Construction

We researched quite a few contractors to put in a new patio and raised garden beds in our backyard this spring. Chris's quote process was both very responsive and competitive as compared to the others we received. After choosing Ideal and upon project start, the team was extremely conscientious of our existing yard, very responsive to any requests we had along the way, and extremely professional and hard working throughout the project. The end product was exactly what we had pictured and came out great! Ideal stuck to their timeline and we had absolutely no issues along the way. I would highly recommend them for anyone seeking patio/masonry work and will use them in the future if we need any other projects.

From the beginning, Chris and his crew have been a delight to work with!! We contacted three providers to help us create a backyard oasis including a pergola, patio and plantings. Chris was prompt, asked great questions and took the time to meet with us to discuss our objectives and our budget. He came with creative ideas and addressed our concerns until we felt confident to move forward. When the work started, we found that the ground underneath the patio was a rock dump for the property. Without complaint, the crew jumped in and dealt with a very difficult situation. The prep work was nothing short of amazing and when the patio was installed, everything was leveled appropriately. We have been enjoying our patio for two years now. Virtually nothing has shifted. We had a minor paver-pop next to the pergola and Chris fixed it without charge. Additionally, after two terrible winters, we lost some plantings and some trees. Chris replaced those items without charge. We're so inspired by Chris's work that we're planning some new landscaping which will no doubt, require his help. I forgot to mention...in addition to our backyard oasis...Chris installed our front walkway which is also a work of art! And our neighbors just worked with Chris and crew on three new gardens and were raving about their experience. Definitely worth every penny!!

I had an old rotted wood retaining wall and steps built into the hill at the top of my driveway that I needed to get replaced. I had Chris from Ideal Landscape come over to take a look at the job. We discussed what I had in mind and the materials I wanted to use. Chris showed me numerous pictures of similar jobs Ideal had done in the past and suggested some great ideas for the new wall and steps. Within a few days of our meeting I had received their proposal and drawings for what the new wall and steps would look like. Ideal was clearly better than the other contractors I had met with so I selected them for the job. Getting the job done was easy and painless for me. They ripped out the old wall and steps and installed the new ones without inconveniencing me at all. When they were done the work site was spotless and the new wall and steps are beautiful and a huge improvement to the appearance of my yard.

Chris , the president, came to our home and was more than helpful and really focused on what we could spend and what would be best to fit the look of our home. Very pleasant and helpful. The men who came to do the actual work were very good. They were respectful and asked at several times throughout the process if we thought the project was what we wanted. At one point i changed my mind and they stopped and listened and got approval and it worked out well. They cleaned up after themselves every day. I would highly recommend them for anyone and we are extremely happy with the project and the outcome.

We loved working with Chris! He knew exactly what we wanted and within one meeting had our design and priorities nailed down. Chris and his crew were so timely and respectful of our home and property - it was a pleasure to have them work (and they didn't even mind our dog "helping"!:). Chris and his team did a great job on our patio extension and creation of a sitting wall. They worked efficiently and thoughtfully and collaborated nicely with the providers who installed a pergola at the same time. We have had Ideal Landscape Maintenance & Construction come back to help touch up areas of the older patio, making it look brand new. They did a fabulous job and we would definitely hire them again for future jobs.

Chris King and his team at Ideal Landscape removed/replaced our outdated walkways with a beautiful pavestone set. He designed a layout that increased our walkway and gave our walks great curb appeal. His team was hard working, professional and polite. Chris provided us an estimate that was accurate and competitive. He and his team kept to their schedule and provided a service that mirrors their company name-"Ideal." I would recommend Chris and his team if you are thinking of constructing a new walk or updating your present one. I have recommended him to 2 friends who used his team and they too have raved about his work. Chris is on the jobsite every day and makes sure that you are happy with the work. Chris owns the company and takes great pride in ensuring that the work is done to the highest standards and he is not afraid to work alongside his crew which ensures his high standards are never compromised. We used Chris a second time to install granite steps and again, our experience was as good as the first time we used Ideal Landscape.

I have recently moved to Worcester, and had been struggling to find a landscaper who could help with my ideas for my new house. I called several people who did not return the call or did not show up, so I joined Angie's List. Enter Ideal Landscaping. Chris returned my call immediately and showed up on time to look over the project. I had quite a laundry list of things to be done, including stump and tree removal, flower bed prep in two areas, under deck excavation with weed block and stone installed, and a light post installed with a conduit line for my electrician. He listened carefully to what I needed, made suggestions and within a few days came back with an itemized proposal that included everything I needed done. The day the work was to begin he and his crew arrived on time with all the necessary equipment, and after introductions they got right to work. And what impressive work it was. Perfectly defined flowerbeds ready for spring bulbs and future plants, and the area under the deck is now beautifully graded and covered with good looking brown stone. He even reminded me to print out my coupon from Angie's list for a pretty decent discount - something I was unaware of. I consider this to be pretty impressive honesty. We had some issue with the electrician we hired to run the conduit after Chris and his team did the work, ( miscommunication where the electrician did not want to do any digging...) Chris came BACK, opened the trench back up and adjusted the conduit so the electrician did not have to dig anything at all. After the electrician was finished his team then returned right away to cover the trench back over. Totally above and beyond what he had to do. While he was there he took more time out of his day to bounce around some ideas for spring plantings with me. My garden needs a lot of work, so I feel lucky to have found such a true professional ....I am looking forward to spring!
