We are very pleased with the patio that Maynor & the M&C team completed for us over the summer. I first reached out to Maynor in 2022 to get a quote for the project to compare to another local contractor. He was quick and responsive and was able to get out within a few days to give me a quote. He even had some ideas to help with the design. We ended up deciding not to move forward with the outdoor project at the time. A year passed and we wanted to pick up where we had left off the previous year. I called Maynor to check in to see if the quote was still valid. He was able to confirm and update the quote from the previous year. I was still not 100% sure on the design, so asked Maynor to come out again. He was able to come out very quickly, and this time had a few more ideas for the project. My wife and I really liked the updated design that Maynor had and decided we were ready to move forward. What stood out to me about M&C is that they were able to accommodate work that not all other patio contractors were willing to do, like doing demo of a portion of a wooden deck or other construction work. This made us feel better because we were able to work with a single point of contact vs. juggling multiple contractors. Maynor/M&C just made it really easy. Once we decided to move forward and received the HOA approval, M&C was able to get us on the schedule really quickly. The crew started on a Monday and wrapped up the job by end of day the Friday after they started. It was a wonderful transformation of our outdoor living space and one we are very excited about enjoying this fall. The crew was excellent too. They were here early every day and stayed until the late afternoon to get the job done. I've compared the work to other patios in my neighborhood and ours is hands down the best quality. I highly recommend working with Maynor and the M&C team. Not only are they a pleasure to work with, but the quality of the work is unmatched. You won't be disappointed.

We did a whole backyard build project with M&C last year. This included grill kitchen/island, pergola, firepit, pavers, trees and shrubs, plumbing, gas, lighting, staining etc. We had a really great experience working with Maynor and his team. We had got a few quotes from different companies and the M&C quote was very reasonable - especially considering the fact that they took care of everything end-to-end (including scheduling the county inspections etc). The workers came on time everyday and really took pride in their work. As the work progressed, we asked for some changes in the design, and Maynor always graciously accomodated those without any grumblings. The project stayed within budget but did take a little longer than promised mainly due to the delay with the county inspections. Now, we have a backyard fit for paradise that we have been enjoying through the summer. You can check out the pics on their Instagram profile. Maynor has become a friend and a trusted landscaping partner who has helped us with a few more minor projects since then (trimming of our trees, weed control). He has completed a few projects around the community too. Overall, we couldnt be more happier that we chose M&C. Highly highly recommend!

My husband and I retired and moved to an awesome new home on Lake Norman with our three active Labs. We soon realized that we needed major help and advice on our backyard. North Carolina red clay and 12 paws is not a good mix! Our original plan was to install a paved walkway from our gate and the deck to the dock. We also knew we needed irrigation and exterior lighting. We had gotten a few bids but after meeting Maynor we immediately knew we had the right person! He listened and asked the right questions. His team of incredibly hard workers were efficient and always cleaned up after a long day. Once the project was underway we realized that unless we sodded the backyard our red clay problems would continue. Additionally we started thinking about potential landscaping. Maynor began creating and conceptualizing the optimal placement of beds, natural areas, plants, flowers, trees and overall design. Everything fell into place and we are thrilled with the outcome. M&C could have simply completed the original scope of work and moved on but instead helped us to maximize the impact within budget and truly exceeded our expectations. Projects included the grading of my backyard, adding a red oak privacy fence lined with new mulch, trees and plants held by a beautifully built rock retaining wall, the design of a beautiful fire pit area for entertaining, as well as upgrading my front yard with new mulch, plants and trees and new beautiful landscape up lighting. M & C Landscaping is the best! They completely came in and transformed our hideous backyard to an area that we utilize ALL the time now. The quality of their work was so impressive. Maynor and his company, M & C Landscaping are awesome. I contacted him to ask for a quote on a backyard patio and stairs leading to the lake. He came out,I told him what I wanted and he helped me put the plan together. He made some great suggestions, provided me with a quote within my budget. We have used M&C Landscaping for replacing front steps as well as entire large driveway in Cornelius. After getting 4 estimates, I contacted a neighbor to asked who did his driveway which was M&C. The estimates varied by more than $6000 dollars. The Owner, Maynor, said initially that he wouldn't be the highest priced contractor nor the lowest. As it turned out, he was the second lowest and more than that, his process for replacing the driveway exceeded all the other quotes which meant his base for the driveway was deeper after removing the existing concrete and the layers of materials used exceeded all others quotes. Pedro, his lead contractor, set the pitch for drainage and laid EVERY paver with the help of 4 others, The crew was polite, friendly, and cleaned up perfectly each day. The processor 5 days. I provided drinks and donuts as they worked in the heat of the summer last year. Maynor provided a huge list of references and we were able to see his workmanship prior to signing on. This month he put in water drainage systems to stop the shoreline erosion which was occurring above my lakefront walkway. He also replaced my pine needles with rich brown mulch and he and his company highly recommended.
