I interviewed five quality patio and stone contractors for a patio project that I had put off for quite some time. Jeff Mottern and his team at Mottern Masonry were the clear choice. His helpful suggestions on the pros and cons of stone, pavers or stamped concrete were exactly what I needed to decide what was best for us. He provided recommendations on the size of the patio, the steps and steered me clear of potential pitfalls. Jeff and his team at Mottern Masonry completed the job in a very timely fashion. They were courteous, professional and did a nice job cleaning up after their work. They also completed two other small related stone projects while on site that I had also put on hold for several years. For the quality and price, I would highly recommend Mottern Masonry and if I need stone work in the future, I know who to call.

I really appreciate the skill and craftsmanship of their stonework. The Mottern team is first rate and the porch and stacking walls look beautiful. In addition they provided a contact to a top-notch handyman to repair the pillars on the porch. They were able to coordinate the jobs and the work was performed efficiently and flawlessly. I’ll be sure to let my neighbors know about the Mottern company. Thanks so much for a job well done.

Great job building a rock wall and repairing many cement joints in our sidewalks, patio and exterior brick wall to help with water seeping in.they were respectful of our property, worked us in quickly and we are very happy with the results and will use them again.

Mottern Masonry did a fantastic job resurfacing the foundation on our house. They were very responsive to our request for an estimate and we were able to schedule the job within a few weeks. They did a great job and the foundation looks great!! I highly recommend Mottern Masonry for any masonry job and would definitely use in the future.

Mottern Masonry did 3 distinct tasks over 3 days on our brick veneer. They tore down an unsightly archway and wall and retoothed the brick where the wall connected to the house, they retoothed the brick to fill in where a window was removed, and they parged over brick at the base of our sunroom. They were wonderful to work with through the whole process, unlike other people we contacted for quotes. Their prices were reasonable, and Jeff (the owner) was honest about his assessment of what work was worth doing or what wasn't. The actual work was done thoughtfully, completely, and diligently. The team started early, were self-sufficient, and took extra care to clean up the main areas they worked. We were quite surprised at how much they cleaned up at the end. I would not hesitate to hire Mottern again, and I would recommend them to anyone.

From the beginning I felt like we were a team. They made several Suggestions that both improved the design and saved us money. Their pricing was very fair and the on-site crew were professional and respectful. I will definitely call should I have another project and highly recommend them. Description of Work: They removed and replaced the patio; removed several pillars and refaced remaining; refaced the front stoop; pressure washes and pointed up front walk.

Mottern Masonry Design recently replace the front stoop and entrance walkway to our house. It has a slate finish on top with a reinforced concert base. Their design and workmanship was excellent. The new entrance walkway greatly improves the appearance of our home. The crew that did the work was very professional, communicated with us throughout the project, showed respect to our property during construction, and left the site clean when finished. Mottern’s estimate was lower than others we had received, and it included total replacement of my 42 yr. old stoop. The other estimates did not include replacement of the old stoop. We are extremely pleased with the finished project and strongly recommend Mottern Masonry Design for any patio or walkway work you may need.

I highly recommend Mottern Masonry. We rebuilt our deck and wanted to put a patio under it. We already had a small, rounded flagstone patio on the ground next to the deck, but wanted to expand that under the deck. Jeff understood exactly what I wanted and had helpful suggestions. He said we could do flagstone, but that stamped concrete might be more cost efficient given the size of the project. We went with the stamped concrete and could not be happier. It matches the flagstone almost identically.
