About Us

J.D. is the owner and operator of Sonrise Masonry and has 30 years’ experience in the masonry field. He has owned his own masonry business for over 15 years now and enjoys the restoration of our city's masonry history and the remodeling aspect of modernizing homes with masonry or hardscaping features. In his off time he enjoys following the city's major league sports teams and hanging out with his wife, three daughters, and their families. Sonrise Masonry is a family business and J.D. also enjoys getting to work with his family every day.

JD and his crew are amazing! I had a tricky project to put it nicely and JD not only saved me significantly on cost (trust me, I had some pretty crazy bids for work that wouldn't have solved the actual problem), he came up with a plan that not only made the house look better, but went way above and beyond to ensure all the unseen issues were fixed. I could have been taken advantage of as I clearly had no idea what I was doing, but JD was incredibly honest, reliable and experienced. I recommend him to everyone: friends, family, potential customers, everyone! My house is beautiful now - I have even had people stop to tell me how great the house looks when I'm outside. Top quality work, fair price. Work was done on time. The crew was knowledgeable and friendly. Repaired brick walls, and concrete/paver patio. Installed new paver front porch, sidewalk. Excellent job! Will use them again.

JD was great and quick with an estimate. Jake, who did the work, did it in the time estimated and colored the grout on my chimney so you couldn't even tell that we'd had it repaired. It was such a great job and at a very reasonable price. I'd have them over again any time I need work.
