“Our experience with Caryn Paradis was excellent from start to finish. We had an unfinished basement that we wanted to finish and didn't know where to begin. Caryn talked with us in detail about how we wanted to use our basement and then came up with plans that included all of our needs as well as ideas that we hadn't even considered but should have. She was able to design a space that incorporated areas for everyone in our family, including our young son--even a stage that could be pulled apart for use as couches when he becomes a teenager! Because we live in separate states, Caryn was able to do much of the work remotely with minimal visits to our home to take measurements, etc. She had finish samples sent directly to us quickly and walked us through the decision making process. She designed specific requests, such as a fireplace for my husband and a guest room/office area. Caryn paid attention not only to the aesthetics of the job, but also the practicalities, such as outlet placement and HVAC. She also included amenities such as a well-placed dorm fridge which will come in handy when our son is old enough to use the space as a hang-out with friends. All in all, the job was smooth, well-designed and surprisingly painless. Caryn listened to our needs and then exceeded them. We would recommend her without reservation.”

“Jen of JKate Designs recently decorated our income property in Ortley Beach, NJ. She selected paint colors, furniture, accessories and created layouts. She was easy to work with and talk to about likes and dislikes. She worked within our budget and the entire process was smooth. This house was an interesting challenge, as she had to work around some existing decor/furniture, that maybe we both would not normally have selected on our own, but it came with the house and we did not want to get rid of it all. She selected items/colors so that together, the "old" and new have created a beautiful, timeless look.The outcome is stunning and we could not be happier! The property has been listed for rent for about 2 weeks and we already have 5 summer weeks rented. we are convinced it's the decor and could not have done it without her. She created the architectural design for our third floor kitchen and our downstairs duplex renovations, coming up with a series of design ideas that were both beautiful and within our budget.
