Excellent job building the pool, decking, installing the equipment and providing on-going service and maintenance! We get many compliments from neighbors and friends that visit! I feel good knowing there is a deep and responsive team that provides on-going care to deal with any issues that may arise.

We worked with them on a pool design, but we had issues getting the impervious surface usage approved by the county and couldn't continue construction.

Terry has been taking care of our blue haven pool for some time now and his knowledge of pool systems is unsurpassed. My wife and I are very happy with our pool and take great comfort at knowing that Terry is a mere cell phone call away answering any pool questions that may arise.

Had a major renovation done on a 12 year old pool by Blue Haven Raleigh and was very pleased with process and outcome. John D. used latest GPS info to get aerial view of pool and deck and used it for estimating cost of work. Ben D. made site visit to evaluate current condition and confirmed initial estimate. Contractors used for coping, deck, and plaster were very professional and did nice job on site cleanup when completed. Blue Haven won't be the cheapest vendor but the quality of work is worth the extra money. Very satisfied with project.

From start to beyond finish, Curtis and John have been wonderful to work with. The real test comes when the project is complete and the money has been paid. They have been there for us to answer all questions and to help with any issues that have arisen. It's been 2 1/2 years since our pool was installed and we couldn't be happier.

We have nothing but positive comments on Blue Haven Pools- Morrisville - our pool is now completed and every aspect of the process was top notch! First, they blew us away and sold us with the design - we gave John some ideas, but he spent hours in our yard looking at it from every angle, and came back with a design that was far beyond our expectations and far above the design proposals of other companies we had considered. The specification of colors, materials, hardware, etc. was based on solid data, examples and experience - we weren't pressured into their "favorite" suppliers. The quote and contract process was upfront with no surprises - the full cost was slightly above our initial budget, but the suggested design was well worth the extra money. There were no hidden surprises. We felt no pressure and no sense of a "bait and switch" that we had with other companies. The construction process, albeit long and challenging (equipment, mud, dust, noise), was kept on a fairly predictable timeline with only weather-related delays. They talked through each step and prepared us for the next steps. They gave us workable timelines to coordinate fencing, irrigation, landscaping contractors' schedules - everything came together without difficulty. The subcontractors that they hired, especially the stone and decking supplier (Artful Stone) were outstanding. They genuinely cared about their work, and took every imaginable proactive and responsive step to make sure we were 100% satisfied. After construction, we did have a minor issue, which they immediately responded to and corrected - again, no issues! Overall, we have only very positive feedback - which is quite amazing considering the complexity of a $100k+ project - our expectations were high, and completely met, and in many ways exceeded. BuildSense recently worked on a great project with John Delaforce and Blue Haven Pools. This project required a massive renovation to an existing pool area including one new kitchen poolhouse, one new bathhouse, a covered exterior fireplace area, a large deck area, hardscape patio, landscape, and pool renovation including all new service systems. We were both hired separately by the home owner with whom BuildSense had a prior working relationship. Blue Haven handled the pool renovation, and the patio and landscape installation. Overall project coordination was very smooth as always aided by good communication between Blue Haven and our team. The project came together beautifully and we look forward to another opportunity to work with Blue Haven.

Best experience ever and SO pleased with final outcome of our beautiful pool! Design process with John was more than expected, we had a vision and he made it come to life and then some. Quality of work and details throughout every stage was excellent. If we had questions or concerns they were immediately heard and addressed and solutions were completed. I would strongly recommend Blue Haven to help design and build your pool! Curtis was very helpful when we were in the "information gathering" stage. He provided valuable insight and guidance as to what was possible within our budget. He also gave us great advice in selecting material options as we finalized the design. John was our PM on the construction of the pool. He was honest with his assessments as to work schedules and timeline impact due to weather. He also has a great eye as to what looks good. He never hesitated to stop by and answer any questions we had during construction. Julie has been very prompt when helping us with the first year monthly service and winterization. Overall, the Blue Haven team has exceeded our expectations!

I am a landscape designer who worked with Blue Haven to design and build a pool. They were punctual to all scheduled meetings, accommodating with material samples, and willing to try innovative design solutions.

Blue Haven pools did a great job building our new pool. I have no hesitation in recommending them to others. Curtis Brock, and the entire Blue Haven staff, were very responsive and did a good job keeping to their construction schedule. We had a number of minor changes and they were very flexible about making them. I especially liked that their contract included preset pricing for changes to size and materials, so there were no shocking price adjustments when we asked for minor alterations. Our pool was built during the winter / early spring, which worked out great as it was ready in time for summer.

Blue Haven of Raleigh/Cary build a great pool, have a very talented designer, excellent craftsmen amongst their subcontractors, and they really understand pool construction. On the other hand they are poor to seriously bad in their communication and customer service skills. Our construction job was not a walk in the park. The biggest single problem was communication: their inability to clearly state what was our responsibility in a sufficient time for us to make arrangements in a timely fashion. Over and over again during construction we would be blindsided by yet another responsibility which admittedly was in the small print of the contract, and which the pool builder may have mentioned to my wife and I in an informal conversation would need to be done, but never a written notice or email clearly setting out the timing of the requirement. We understood and accepted to be our responsibility, but were just not given a reasonable - and written - notice of the timing we were expected to have these tasks done. We felt as if we were the prime contractor in a contract for which the sub-contractor was calling the tune. Until almost the end of construction, our calls would not be answered for a day, sometimes two days; this was extremely inconvenient when trying to liaise with landscape gardeners, irrigation contractors, inspectors and the like. The net result was a construction time that was way, way longer than it need have been. When we finally had a serious - and somewhat heated - discussion of our expectations, the customer service really perked up, and we now have an extremely responsive and professional - actually quite friendly - relationship. It really is a pity it took so long. However, the pool itself is beautiful, an extremely attractive and clever design, which has received a great deal of complements. The construction is clearly way above the normal standard (having had many pools I can attest to that), and we are very happy with the final results. I wish I could give it the 5 stars the pool itself deserves; I would only say that I recommend the company, but would ask for a detailed, written note of the timing and expectations of all the services that pool company were not providing, but were dependent upon.
