Hemke Van Gerwen, founder of Floral Design Landscaping, Pools & Nusery Inc., recieved his European Agricultural Landscaping Degree in 1980. Hemke worked extensively in Holland & France in the early 80's. In 1987 Hemke emigrated to Canada and launched Floral Design Landscaping Inc. in Kemptville, Ontario. Floral Design has evolved over the past 30 years into a leader in innovation design & installation in the Ottawa Valley Region and has become a "one stop shop" for services & products including Site Design, Construction, Trees, Shrubs & Flowers and Custom Buildings. In 1996 Floral Design Landscaping expanded it's retail and landscaping services by incorporating an 11 acre tree farm in Kemptville and in 2004 we grew again by adding Custom Fiberglasss Swimming Pools & Spas as part of a complete landscape package. By teaming up with Leisure Pools we grafted a unique partnership with a leader in the North American market for Fiberglass Swimming Pool design & manufacture. Floral Design grew again in 2005 when we opened our 13,000 sf green house facility and Floral Design Landscaping Inc. became Floral Design Landscaping, Pools & Nursery Inc. Our green houses & Nursery combined offer a bountiful selection of lush annuals, perennials, trees & shrubs.
