Paradise Pool and Patios

Initially, we were excited about the great design potential that Michael Stafford and Joe Jiminez of Paradise Pool & Patios (PPP) brought to our project. However, our experience quickly soured due to terrible execution and a complete refusal to finish the job. It has now been a little over a year, and we are still left without the final permit signed off. Promises were made, but they were consistently broken, leaving us with a laundry list of unresolved issues. These include: a. Spa: The presence of metal in the pebble interior finish has led to a persistent rust stain issue. Despite previous attempts to rectify the problem, it persists, and it is PPP's responsibility to correct this defect. b. Auto-fill: The auto-fill line has been plagued with leaks since its initial installation. Efforts to address the issue have been unsuccessful, and the last attempt using an inappropriate flex line resulted in further complications, which we had to remediate ourselves at an additional cost. c. Gas Grill and Gas Flattop Grill: Appliances were improperly installed, with deviations from the recommended specifications for the flattop grill (e.g., not tipped forward, the wrong template used to cut the countertop that left noticeable gaps). Caulking was initially mishandled, causing water accumulation in the under-counter area. Subsequent attempts to address this issue have been unsatisfactory, leaving us without a proper solution. d. Gutters: Both gutter downspouts have been installed incorrectly, with issues ranging from water flow problems to improper installation techniques. e. Side Yard East: This area was substantially disrupted during the project, and the agreed-upon restoration, including grading, drainage, and finishing in Zoysia grass, remains incomplete. f. Driplines: Drip lines were not left above the gravel as specified, rendering them unusable for potted plants. g. Gate and Fencing: The fence and gate have not been properly reinstalled as per h. Travertine Coping: Chipped travertine spots promised to be repaired by PPP have not been addressed, as was assured. i. Electrical Plug Cover: A broken electrical plug cover near the man door entrance remains unresolved. For anyone considering hiring Michael Stafford and Joe Jiminez, I would strongly advise caution and thorough due diligence. It's unfortunate that their actions have cast a shadow over what should have been an exciting project. As clients, we deserved better, and their actions have been nothing short of a letdown. We hope for resolution, but at this point, our trust in their ability to deliver is severely eroded.
