Company has failed to replace or refund defective pool equipment. Still waiting after 2 pool seasons. Apparently they are in some sort of dispute with the manufacturer of the equipment. Thusly, that has become my problem since no refund or other brand of equipment has ever been offered. I have been told for months "they are working on it."
Proper preparation was not done under the pool. I suspect the liner has been leaking for some time. The liner is stretched to the point of breaking, as it was installed over top of concrete pads that hold the upright supports. Pool floor is rough and full of ruts and grooves. All stainless steel and galvanized steel on the pool has rusted. Not quality parts or equipment. The quality stainless steel screws I replaced have never rusted.
Unfortunately, they have proven to not be reliable or knowledgeable in their field. The owner lacks an acceptable level of knowledge of pool equipment, installation, or service. They did not meet the deadline they set to install the pool. The quality of installation was poor and had to request the piping be done over (3 times.) I would be happy to provide pictures of the original job and the multiple times they attempted to correct it. The owner also used a rusty pipe on the pool heater gas line.
This has not been a good experience at all. Despite their claims, I have not witnessed what I would call professional, reliable, or dedicated service. They did not arrive to perform service when they said. They did not even call to let us know they were not coming as scheduled. Multiple missed arrivals and many late arrivals. All documented.
Any problems that were brought to their attention were met with promises and assurances of a resolution. Repeatedly P&S failed to communicate in house so that things were taken care of. Had to always call and ask what the status of the situation/problem/order/service request was. They simply don't live up to what they claim. And the worst part is they don't even seem to care. Not even in the beginning.
Please research Pool & Spa Concepts of Cedar Rapids, IA before you buy there or consider their service. I did not do adequate research on this company. Don't make the same mistake I did.
