We engaged RAD team to design our outdoor living space including Patio, Outdoor Kitchen, Pool, Spa and Landscaping. They did an exceptional job in creating a design that was far beyond anything we could have imagined. The artistic variety of shapes, colors and textures has created a unique and contemporary outdoor design. We especially love the spa and the outdoor patio design. Working with Randy, Brad and the entire RAD team was easy, and they incorporated each and everything that was in our wish list. Not only was the design original, innovative, and breathtakingly beautiful, but Randy’s referral to a top-notch builder (Elite Outdoor Living) and his ability to work seamlessly with the builder to execute his design flawlessly meant that the finished project looked exactly like his renderings. We were amazed to procure the services of such a celebrated, award-winning designer at such a great value. Randy and his team not only constructed detailed renderings and specs for the work but also produced a 3D computer animated video of the entire project so we could envision the completed project. They consulted closely with our builder throughout the several-months project, visited the project several times, and worked directly with us on materials choices. When the job was done, they had the whole project professionally photographed and filmed. Candidly, we would have been satisfied just to get Randy’s masterful design (which our friends say has transformed our home into a “Four Seasons resort”). We weren’t expecting the white glove service details on top of that and were truly floored. We just finished our pool project, and I want to say a few words about our designer, Randy Angell. I can talk about him for hours as well as write so many good things, but I’ll try to make the long story short. We have a perfect pool!!! Our backyard was like a faceless wasteland, and now we cannot stop looking through all of our windows, it’s an amazing view!!! Randy brought the ocean to our backyard. I talked to him in our first meeting about my dreams, and in the second meeting we had an excellent master plan including the pool, spa, kitchen, landscaping, and very small details. Randy has a unique taste and an accurate eye. He is a good colorist and what’s very important is that he knows everything about new materials on the market. Three years ago we tried to find builders for our pool project, but we were stuck because there were no original ideas for pools. Therefore, we stopped searching, and then I found Randy and his projects online! Thank you Randy and your team! I love you, and we cannot wait to work with you on the next part of our project!

WOW! We just received our RAD plans and sat down with Randy to over the design. His vision surpassed our expectations. Randy clearly has a gift for truly listening to his clients and being extremely thoughtful in his design to make sure it reflects the entire wish list in ways we could not have dreamed. We hired Randy Angell Designs to design the entire external landscape and hardscape for our new build in Dallas. Randy and his team created an extraordinary design that exceeded our expectations for creativity, insight, functionality, and practicality. Randy does amazing backyard & pool designs. We have a very challenging square backyard and had been through numerous pool vendors to try and get the right design. Randy Angell Designs created the pool of our dreams. Despite being 1,000 miles away they were able to create a seamless design that fit perfectly with our lot. We utilized Randy Angell to help design our pool and backyard landscaping even though we live in a different state. We provided Randy a little direction in terms of what we were looking for and he exceeded our expectations. Randy's design utilized the general theme we provided, but elevated the entire project with features we did not know were possible. Our builders and subs were equally impressed with his design. As part of the deliverables, he provided a video of the backyard that we found helpful as well as CAD files our builder needed to execute his design. Coming from the design and construction industry, I deal with design changes from clients frequently. It is extremely rare to get a design 100% right the first time without any revisions. That is why Randy is the best designer in the industry, hands down. He listened to what we wanted and he designed our entire house and pool specifically to our unique lake view lot and nailed it 100% on the first try. We had some difficult elevations to tangle with in order to take advantage of a lake view and Randy captured it exactly how we wanted. I had the pleasure of photographing two of Randy Angell's exterior designs in the Dallas area. Having photographed many high-end interior and exterior spaces over the years, Randy's designs stood out to me as exceptional in their clean, classic design (with just the right amount of drama) and creative transformation of space. We had contemplated building a pool for several years. We have minimal space in the backyard to work with, and we had completely transitioned the interior of our house from a ranch style to transitional/modern look. If we were going to spend the money, we had to have a design that we absolutely loved; otherwise, it was not worth the investment. As I researched designs on houzz and various sites, I kept coming across Randy's designs and we loved all of them. Randy had cracked the code on using space in a very functional manner and creating design elements that are striking without being over the top. We ask Randy to create a design for our space which would include a pool and outdoor kitchen as well as fireplace sitting area. Randy came to our home and spent time discussing how we planned to use the space and really digesting our home design as well as flow and use of the space. He returned back with a set of markup photos that were incredibly detailed and brought his proposal to life. He also created a fly through that he delivered to us via YouTube (Frisco - The Lakes: Modern Swimming Pool and Outdoor Kitchen). The fly through again gave us an unbelievable comfort level that we loved the design and it would fit perfectly in our space. Randy has learned the art of listening first and asking really good questions. He is highly professional and reliable. Randy has a gift, and our family certainly enjoyed the benefit of his design gift and his enjoyable personality.

After building and living in both stock and custom homes I've come to the conclusion that most people need a designer. Randy has an unbelievable keen-eye for design and is wonderful to work with, he will listen to your ideas and gently push back when necessary (great bedside manner) to make sure you're ultimately happy with the end-result, turning your vision (or helping you come up with one) into a reality. He is the consummate professional who I've been privileged to have worked with, there are few people I highly recommend, Randy is the exception, I cannot recommend highly enough.

Update to my previous post Randy and his team were very patient with all of the design iterations I wanted, i.e. " How would it look if we did this?" All of the iterations were stunning. He did not pressure me regarding making a decision. I had 2 other pool companies provide designs and those companies were very aggressive wanting a decision at the time of presentation of their design. The pool is complete and is stunning, gracefully elegant, not over the top, and timeless. Randy is incredibly creative and has the ability to convey that creativity in words as well as pictorial renditions. The materials Randy suggested for the pool, patio, and outdoor kitchen area are beautiful. The stone work, tile installation and hardscape was excellent, performed by true craftsmen. Every time I had an issue with a portion of the pool build, Randy always followed up to ensure that the problem was solved. He made numerous visits to my house to ensure that the right materials were chosen for the design. He was always gracious and never displayed any impatience with me when I could not make a decision and wanted more choices or when I changed my mind on what I wanted. In summary I have no hesitation in recommending Randy Angell Designs for your pool designer. He is multitalented and it shows that he really loves what he does: he is there to design a pool that is unique, reflects the style of the surrounding, and addresses the homeowner's desires.

As a Realtor Specializing in modern architecture, I have the pleasure of working with numerous builders and architects in the Dallas area. I had met with 6 different designers from very reputable companies before I met Randy (the project/challenge was a pool with some unique features, and an adjoining outdoor kitchen area, in a very small and narrow backyard). I gave each of them the same basic information, and made the same general comments regarding my likes, dislikes, wants and needs (e.g., "I want to open my front door and see something spectacular," "my children love the sun but the sun is not my friend," "we need to make a 20-year old and a 10-year old happy with the exact same pool"), and let all of them "run free" to design whatever they saw fit that would hit on everything in my bucket list... I can honestly say that the first 6 designers did not "listen" to me, nor did their designs incorporated "me", or what I wanted, in any way.... Which brought me to Randy... I met with Randy when I was almost ready to give up on the entire project, hoping that all the good reviews I had read about him on different forums were accurate and honest... Well, they most definitely were! Randy was the only designer who designed something that (1) "wowed" me, (2) was different from every other design I received, and (3) incorporated a myriad of elements which, in one way or another, satisfied each and every one of my bucket list items. Randy was also very conscious about incorporating techniques and features that would keep the project within my budget. We expect to begin construction of the pool in the very near future, and can't wait to see Randy's design come to life! (I'll be sure to post an updated review when the pool is completed!)

Randy brought a bright shiny new perspective and pool redesign plan to our overall home renovation project. The new and completed pool area is now actually an extended living and entertainment area of our home. Randy's design was thoughtful, creative and exciting.
