Below you will find (2) pictures of the pool immediately following completion, as you can see, there are no visible stains. We heavily warned the client of the hardships of keeping a pool clean that is placed in an open field and not having sod or grass placed around it immediately. The client wished to perform those duties themselves and wanted to move forward with filling the pool. Our contract states that during the curing process (usually 7-10 days) the pool must be brushed daily, no swimming is allowed and no pets should be allowed to play in the pool - ALL of the above were violated on the client's part.
Against our better judgement we agreed to drain down the pool and do a complete acid wash and re-fill even though we did not see any stains that warranted such measures. We did in fact record large areas of dirt, debris and trash in the pool. We also replaced the new Polaris 280 Black Max cleaner with a second brand new Polaris cleaner due to complaints that the cleaner was not working to customer satisfaction. We took these measures in order to satisfy our clients and out of our own pocket.
I believe these images speak for themselves. Pools are a fun investment but still require a certain amount of responsibility on the part of the owner for upkeep and care. Large amounts of dirt and debris sitting on pool bottoms for extended periods of time have the ability to cause stains. We would be happy to provide our collection of logs on this project; videos of the condition we found the pool upon return and following these drastic customer service actions, along with statements from an interior finish sub-contractor with over 35 years of experience in the business, statements from our minority employees, subs, and other professionals.
