Two years after spending $80,000 on a pool, the pavers are sinking around the skimmer and waterside retaining wall. Van Kirk & Sons Pools did not take responsibility for the sinking retaining wall because: 1.- The one-year guarantee expired. It has been less than two years since they finished the project. 2.- They claim the wall was damaged before I installed fake Turf, which is false since the wall was damaged before I installed fake Turf was installed. I also attached a photo before I installed the Turf. Van Kirk & Sons Pools should not be allowed to do business.

Stay Away!!! This company sold me back in August of 2020 and as of today we do not have a pool we can use. They ask to be paid before they complete all of there work, per small print in there contract, but clearly do not care to complete the job after they are paid. Not only that they aren’t done with details there is continuous issues with the plaster even after 3 acid washes and of course 3 refills later, there is also loss of water potential leak in the pool and all that adds to cost. This company is horrible at communicating during the process or responding in genera. You can expect lots of stress and irritation without resolution. STAY AWAY!!!

Horrible workmanship. No quality control. Our patio needs repair and they won’t come back out. I have been asking to have my patio fixed for 6 months. I paid 6 figures for my pool and their service is disgraceful. We have had leaks, we ordered and paid for a chiller and never got it and no one knew until we asked for instructions. They broke 2 sewer lines and one they just covered up w sand. If I didn’t have a camera on the back yard we would have had a massive sewer backup. We asked for Mr Van Kirk to call us……nothing. Horrible way to run a business. If I ever need to build a pool again I would never call them.

I know this review is very old. But, I am planning a pool renovation on my pool that was built by Van Kirk. The pool design was nice. BUT, we were sold on their self manufactured stone pavers. If they still offer it, stay away. Our pool deck is horrible. It is impossible to clean. I have pressure cleaned it and sealed it so many times I can't remember. The stone coping is literally breaking apart! The fiber optic light has a leak in it as well. At the time, we chose Van Kirk because of their reputation and it was not the cheapest! So, stay away from their poor quality stone!

I have to admit that after having spent well in excess of 150k with this pool contractor that at the very least when I called for service and repairs a year after its completion, I would at the very least get a reply. I’ve called 3 times and spoken to a lady who took my contact details and list of issues I’m having and everytime she told me that someone would get back to me shortly. A day, two days, a week, two weeks later and I’m still waiting mean while my pool heater and some of the pool lights along with my swim jets remain non operational. It’s a shame that I will be obliged to call some other pool contractor who is not familiar with the construction of my pool nor may he represent the same equipment brands that VanKirk sourced for me.

Van Kirk did an awesome job on my pool. It was a standard rectangle shape with a water feature, but we used the Jerusalem tiles and it looks AMAZING! We also went with the super blue finish which I really recommend. The cost was about $60k but worth every penny. They're performance was on time and their communication was great.

Great pool builders!! It was a terrific experience from start to finish. Mark the salesman remained very patient throughout the whole process and was always available whenever we needed him. We had tons of questions which were all answered. He spent tons of time with us to make sure we had the right design. Golan the project manager was equally helpful. Always available for any questions that needed answers and filled in on the next steps the whole way. He addressed any questions or concerns immediately and always kept on top of the project to make sure it was done to the highest of standards. We would highly recommend them to anyone building a pool.

I had chosen VanKirk to install my pool as I was under the impression they had the best reputation. In the 5 years I have had my pool installed, I have had nothing but regrets. Besides the little things in the beginning, there have been a slew of problems since the installation. These problems are all after they put the WRONG color in my pool! Since installation, they were out several times to replace/fix the travertine. Many have sunk, many have cracked. Once out of "warranty" it has been my problem which I still have to this day. My mother keyboard stopped working about 2 years after installation, my pool heater has crapped out several times. My lights don't always work and NOW I have a leak in my 5 year old pool! Customer service there is poor. I have called almost everyday for a week, being told Robert VanKirk would call me back, I am still waiting on that call. I wish I would have really read all the reviews on this company before choosing them. They are way pricier than other companies. Since my installation, I have had other friends install pools with other companies with absolutely NO ISSUES! Beware when choosing the overpriced VanKirk to install your pool!

As for the color of your pool, that too was our fault, but we did 100% rectified that situation for you. In fact, all of the small issues were addressed with your other items as well. As for the possible leak in your pool, we rectified that completely a few months ago. Here at Van Kirk & Sons, we truly want to be a solutions provider. Since our 22 years in business, 10 of them have been working with this company. Its a family based biz with a corporate structure. Communication and all exchanges are handled in a timely and professional manner. Even tho we come towards the end with our products and service, this company shares its enthusiasm throughout.
