“The Hursthouse team patiently spent many hours developing a detailed and extensive renovation plan for our entire property. Major features of the plan included: --installing a brick paver driveway bordered by a snapcut limestone retaining wall --installing bluestone front entry walk and porch --rebuilding backyard bluestone patio and new courtyard area with water fountain and cast iron fence border --extensive landscape lighting both front and back --installing imported planter urns on pedestals --extensive tree & shrub planting, perennials & ground cover. The design added great value and enhanced our enjoyment of our property in ways we never anticipated. The entire Hursthouse team took great pride in their work and went to great lengths to make us very satisfied clients.”

“We had recently added a sunroom and needed some landscaping done in our backyard around the new room. We also decided to put in a patio adjacent to the sunroom. We have a slanted backyard, so we really needed advice on how to accomplish this. In addition, we needed a landscaper to work with us as the contractor finished our deck so everything would flow together. We had an idea of what we wanted, but were really looking for advice and recommendations. We talked to three different landscapers and decided to go with Western DuPage Landscaping. The designer, Nicole, had some great suggestions for our project and worked within the budget we gave her. She patiently explained the difference in pricing between the various pavers available and also recommended plants and shrubs that would grow in our very shaded backyard. Our project came in on budget and in the time frame given. We are very happy with the work done and would not hesitate to return to WDL for future work.”

“Just started working with Joe but we loved his design so we went with him. He's very passionate about his work. He picked out beautiful plantings and his design had so much movement to it. His pricing was very reasonable and he's been very helpful in the whole process in getting this started. “From our first meeting with Tom Kusmerz, The Barn Nursery, we were sold on working with that company and looked no further. Through conversation and walking around on our property, Tom was able to create a hardscape design concept that we just loved. Our retaining wall was failing and we needed to redesign the whole thing. With his help we chose natural stone that blended well with our existing house brick and pool decking and gave us both the color and natural look we were after. Tom worked with our pool and concrete contractors so everything on our project was done in the right order and no one had to wait on someone else. With Tom's design on our retaining wall and how the base materials were installed, we were able to reduce the costs of our concrete decking repair by half of the original bid and we have a beautiful, natural looking retaining wall that will last forever. The crews working on our project from The Barn Nursery were great. I looked forward to their arrival every morning. They were neat, efficient, friendly and very hard working. I could tell that they really took pride in their workmanship and the job came out beautifully. My family and I look forward to their return in the spring to help us with our plantings. It was a truly great experience working with this company and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.”
