“We want to share our experiences with Development Design Services as I do not select contractors, especially for a complete kitchen renovation, without a referral from a friend or someone who had used them in the past. My wife and I had wanted to redo our kitchen for a couple of years now but didn't know anyone who had a good experience with their contractor. We then decided to search websites such as Houzz and Angie's List. As we searched and read reviews, we wondered if any of these reviews were "real" but decided to add our name to these sites anyway. The phone calls that followed were overwhelming and the contractors that called seemed rehearsed. We just never received a good vibe from any of them until I received a call from Edwin Torres from Design Development. We thought that this guy either was genuine or just a great actor, but something told us to give him an opportunity to at least come and give us an estimate. It turns out meeting Ed and his wife was the best decision we made. Ed came to our house at the scheduled time, and to our surprise, he brought along his wife. They are a husband-and-wife team! The two of them reminded us of Chip and Joanna from Fixer Upper. We learned both were graduates from FIT, Fashion Institute of Technology. We liked what they suggested, and their estimate was very reasonable. But I was still skeptical as I never heard of this company nor found the company anywhere online. I thought, red flag! So, I asked for their certificate of insurance and called the insurance company. Turns out, they were fully insured. Then came contract time. We were very surprised to see that the contract was written in such a way to satisfy us with the timing of the job, payment schedule and the details of what was included. However, we wanted to see and speak with one of their customers to give us that comfort level. Ed did one better. We were invited multiple times to see an actual job they were currently doing. Not only a kitchen but in fact, a complete house renovation. We spoke to the owners of that house, and they had nothing but good things to say. So, we signed the contract with the terms that were more in our favor. You can't beat that at all. As a bonus, Ed and his wife, Tina, even accompanied us to shops to help with the selecting paint color, tiles, fixtures, etc. I doubt you will find that kind of help from anyone. Ed promised the job would be completed in 6-8 weeks, and yes, it was done on time. Were there issues, Yes! of course, but more importantly were they resolved to our satisfaction and the answer to that again is Yes, of course!. All in all, we were very satisfied with the job, the timing and the dedication. I know as you read this review you will have the same skeptisism we had. Is this review for real? The answer is Yes.. it is. We highly recommend them, and you won't be sorry!”

“We engaged S&W in 2009 for an extensive multi-faceted home renovation project. The scope of the project touched every single room in the house in some fashion. The more significant aspect of the project included a complete demolition / renovation and expansion of the kitchen, complete demolition / renovation of three bathrooms, installing built in drawers and closets in 4 bedrooms, installation of an integrated lighting plan throughout the first floor (family room, living room, sun room, library), demolition / installation of a new front entrance way (including stone wall work and blue stone walkway), installation of a detached two car garage and installation of a new paver block driveway. S&W worked very closely with my wife and I on this project which entailed regular project status meetings with us and the architect. S&W has its own team of skilled workman which enables S&W to control the project and they were able to complete the project expeditiously and professionally. S&W did an excellent job of expediting the various trades (electricians, plumbers, masons, framers along with their own staff) which kept the project moving on schedule. I was particularly impressed with S&W's problem solving skills. The scope of the project was significant and I found that S&W was quick to respond to issues as they arose and provided innovative solutions. I would engage S&W again, if I had a project and would strongly recommend them to someone looking for an engaging, professional contractor.”
